Not really built to go into a box. I had to flush mount a box because I put it on a concrete wall. I came up from a hole in the floor into the box but when I plugged the data cable in it is a tight fit. I had to the use box extenders to get it to plug in and not bend the cable to much.

I used this for a hardwired network run in my remote IT setup. Wi-Fi is convenient, but it becomes less magical after traveling through several walls and half the farm. The two keystone ports held the CAT6 connections securely, and both runs passed the cable tester on the first attempt.The stainless faceplate looks clean and professional, while the included low-voltage bracket saves a separate trip for mounting hardware. The shielding is useful around motors, inverters, and other electrically noisy equipment, provided the entire cable path uses compatible shielded components and is grounded correctly.My one minor complaint is that the polished plate collects fingerprints during installation. A quick wipe fixes that. Once mounted, it provides a sturdy, tidy network connection that looks much better than a cable emerging from a questionable hole in the wall.

TL;DR: Very sturdy, very high quality wall jack for $23. It’s probably overkill for most, but if you need the bandwidth and the reliability, this will do you wonders. This does NOT have keystone jacks, it has female-to-female couplers. This may be more convenient for you, or it may mess with your existing setup. This uses standard click in connectors which you'd use in patch panel or similar.The edges are very sharp, which actually cut me right below my middle finger when first looking at it, so that hurts.In the pictures I've replaced 2 of the clip in panels with a fiber one (The blue one, which is too wide and required some modification (as it also does for my patch panel)) and a different RJ45 jack (black) to test the compatibility and as expected it works. This will probably end up with 2 fiber connections where I'm putting it, but I have to run that.The panel looks nice and will replace a couple of wires going through the box in/out of the wall. These aren't punch downs so if you've got a similar situation, you can either give your wires ends or get some punch down snap ins if you want to go that route (but from what I've understood they aren't as good for faster internet.)Overall, I think these are good if the most expensive 6 port I could find on Amazon, The fact that it cut me combined with that has me giving it 4 stars.

For anyone running network cabling through drywall for the first time, having the bracket included in the kit rather than needing to source it separately is a practical convenience.Since completing the installation the network connections behind this plate have been stable without any of the intermittent packet loss I was experiencing before with an unshielded solution in the same location. The shield also needs to be bonded to earth ground at one end of the run for proper EMI protection.This is a three-port faceplate. If you need more or fewer ports, this product only comes in the three-port configuration so plan your cable runs accordingly. Single and dual port versions from the same product line may be available separately if your location only needs one or two connections.For anyone building a structured cabling installation in an environment with electrical interference, or simply for anyone who wants a wall plate that looks genuinely professional rather than like a cheap white plastic afterthought, this shielded stainless plate is a well-made and practical choice. The build quality is clearly above the standard plastic competition and the installation with the included bracket is cleaner than most. 4 stars: Copper Shield CAT6 Ethernet Wall PlateInstalled this in my home office to replace a basic unshielded plate. The included low voltage bracket made drywall mounting straightforward, but fitting the keystone jacks into the ports took some real pressure - they seat tight enough that I double-checked I had the right keystones. Once snapped in, my 1Gb connection came through clean with no hiccups.The copper shielding does its job, and from across the room the plate looks sharp - a nice brushed nickel finish that reads as professional. But pick it up before mounting and you notice right away it's too light. This isn't stainless steel. Feels and weighs like zinc or pot metal with a coating. Tap it with a fingernail and it plinks hollow instead of the solid ring you get from real stainless. On the wall nobody will question it, but once you've handled actual stainless plates the difference is obvious.At $16 it's priced right alongside genuine stainless options, and that's where I dock a star. Signal performance is solid and it looks the part from a distance, but labeling it stainless when it clearly isn't stings a little. Still worth it if the copper shielding is what you're really after.

These are basically the easiest way to get a nice clean install accomplished if you aren't built for working with punch down patch panels and such. That or you just don't want to bother with it, like me. In a wireless world, I still prefer my wired connections, so I added network cabling to every room in the house when we first moved in, and somehow managed to route half of them to what later developed to be the wrong side of the room.This set gave my in-home workspace (my first priority) a very nice finished look with a functionally superior stainless steel wall plate that is head and shoulders above the cheap plastic stuff I have everywhere else. The commercial look fits the room, and the ease of connection was stunningly simple. My modem and router are in the finished basement that has a acoustic tile drop ceiling, so access was easy peasy, having only to drill up through the easily identifiable wall bottom plate and the feed the cable. Once the cutout for the box was accessed from inside the room the cable was a simple item to grab and plug in. The included old work box makes it all even easier if you aren't already working with solidly mounted work boxes.Performance-wise nothing was lost in transmission vs. the trip hazard that I had previously run across the floor from an adjoining room, so this was a win on several counts. Given the ease of use, quality of build and accessories, and excellent performance I consider this an very good value for the money that also happens to look pretty sharp.
