I’ve used recessed LED lights before, but the night light feature on these is what really makes them stand out. Instead of having the full ceiling light on when you only need a little illumination, the amber light around the trim gives off a soft glow that works great at night.The main lights are bright, and being able to select the color temperature before installation is really convenient. You can choose anything from a warmer light to a much brighter, cooler white depending on the room. They also dim smoothly with a compatible dimmer.Installation is pretty straightforward for canless lights, especially since each one has its own junction box. The slim design is also helpful when you're working in a ceiling where traditional recessed cans wouldn't fit.Getting eight lights in the set makes this a good option for doing an entire room, hallway, kitchen, or soffit area at once. Overall, these look modern, put out plenty of light, and the amber night light is a feature I didn't realize I'd appreciate as much as I do.

Lately, I've been installing a lot of this type of lighting lately. (Thin LED downlighting.) These light are truly easy to install versus standard down lighting. Simply cut the hole and run a wire to the switch. A Romex box connector is needed for each light. I should note that these lights include the push-in quick wiring connectors for easy wiring.These thin LED lights are a great improvement from others that I've installed in the past. For example, these lights are a lot thinner than others... since they are thinner than average drywall, they can be installed under ceiling joist, so it easier to get proper and exact spacing. (Just as long as there is enough room for the electrical box to pass through.)The selectable hue is great to get the right lighting overall feel and mood. That said, additionally to set the mood, these lights throw a lot of light and recommend a dimmer switch, especially the bedroom. As a bonus over most of the other LED's, I like the night light ring.The quality is on-par, or better than others that I've installed in the past.The price is great also... at $7.50 per unit, you can't go wrong... they are much cheaper than local big box stores.The lights are as described and pictured on Amazon - 5 Stars from me

If your in need of some cheap alternativeightimg in your house, these work excellent and are easy to install, without an electrician, assuming you have the electrical connections already established. The big note is to remember that these are only 4" wide and the part that actually lights up is even smaller, at 3", and most kitchen/dining lights use at least 6" wide led lights. But assuming your looking for 4", these are awesome and you have several selections of how white or yellow you want the light so they are adjustable. Package comes with everything you need to make the install and I personally enjoy the smaller footprint and the output is plenty to light up an average kitchen with only 3-4 lights. My recommendation, if your looking, if you already have can lights of this size and want to upgrade, this is an excellent product. They only require a 4" hole to install and no need for those recessed metal/plastic holders for the wires. These lights already come with everything you need to securing enclose any wiring connections. Another consideration is that if you have larger holes then 4", you will need to get creative and make a DIY reducer to make sure you don't got holes around the light and the light needs something for the springs to grab to make the light secure. I had this issue but I just 3d printed some circular reducers to go from 6" to 4" but you can you anything, plywood, curageted plastic, etc. You can make the installation unique and it's not that difficult. Either way though, you get alot for what you pay and they work and are simple to I install!

I ordered these to use as downlights under the bulkheads that mask the AC ductwork in our basement media room. The thin mount design is the main advantage. It fits easily in the limited space created by the two by four framing beneath the ducts, where a traditional can light would not fit. Once the openings are cut, each fixture will clamp securely and sit flush against the ceiling.The selectable color temperatures make it easy to match the lighting to the room. The warmer settings work well for a media space, while the cooler settings are useful when you need brighter task lighting. The brightness is strong and consistent across all eight units.The night‑light feature is especially useful during movie watching sessions, so the room can stay dimly lit even when the TV screen goes dark. We were looking to change out two recessed ceiling lights in our living room in front of an accent wall with a TV and heater below it. We didn’t like the brightness of the lights installed. So, these lights were a great replacement. First, you get eight (8) 4-inch lights in this package. I only needed two, so I have extras to hang on to or use elsewhere. The lights had multiple lighting settings. We chose the 3500. Installation was a breeze. I did have to remove the recessed gang box from the ceiling to install these. It comes with an easy wiring connection adapter that allows you to connect up to 4 wires per color (white, back, and ground). You simply place the box up in the ceiling area (for me, it just inside the hole and set onto the sheet rock inside the attic space.). The light simply uses two tab/clips that you push up and then allow it to snap down inside the attic onto the top of your Sheetrock and it holds it into place. Keep in mind that there is very little bezel, so you definitely want a clean cut hole. But, the best part of this light is the “night light”mode. Simply turn off and back on at the switch to toggle between regular light mode and the night light mode. I love the night light mode! It’s perfect. I fully recommend these lights.
