So, I'm still experimenting with these, but they're really durable, easy to position well, and very bright. The colors are great, vivid and varied. Connectivity went well, but you need to know what you're connecting it to, because it's 12v equipment with raw-end red/black wires. It was a nice set for the listed price.

The lights work as advertised. The connecting is easy as brown goes to positive and blue to negative. Included are waterproof connectors but there is nothing like welding wires and using shrink wrap and liquid tight to make long lasting electrical connections. You can either use the remote or an app you can download. I do not mind apps but I use an old phone without service for this. I have found that apps offer much more options for controlling a device. The instructions must be kept. There is valuable information in them. Additionally, you must pair your remote before the units will respond to it. That is included in the instruction. As a matter of fact, the instructions are far superior than what I would have expected.4 light come in the kit. Remember that these must be connected in parallel for all to get 12 volts. Casing feels very solid and will outlast any weather. They are aesthetically pleasing. Although retaining wall is discuss, there are alternatives. Whatever location you plan, the biggest part of the plan will be your wiring and how can you hide it.I think it is unfortunate that power supply is not included. That being said, you can get a bigger power supply that would have been provided and connect more kits to it.Price per quality is reasonable. These are high quality lights for ambiance in your backyard or making a statement in your front yard.

We don't actually have a retaining wall, which is what these lights are primarily designed for. My plan was to use them along a privacy fence near our deck, and after testing them there, I think they're going to work out great.I haven't permanently installed them yet. For the initial test, I temporarily attached them to the fence using some heavy-duty clips and connected them to the transformer that powers our existing ground lights. I mainly wanted to see what they would look like before committing to the installation. They look absolutely fantastic. The lighting itself is really attractive, and the ability to change colors gives you a lot of options depending on the look or atmosphere you want. The remote makes it easy to control everything, and the different colors look particularly nice around the deck and fence area at night.We already have solar lights installed around the fence, and while those work pretty well, I like the idea of having these in addition to them. With the wired lights, I'm not dependent on getting enough sunlight during the day to have good lighting at night. That should be especially useful during stretches of cloudy weather when the solar lights don't get a full charge.Something else that impressed me immediately was how substantial these are. They're definitely not lightweight or flimsy little fixtures. They have some real weight to them and feel like they're made for permanent outdoor installation. If you actually are installing them on a retaining wall, I don't think you'll be disappointed with the construction at all.Obviously, I'm using them a little differently than their intended purpose, but that's also a nice thing about the design. If you have a fence, deck area, landscaping feature, or another suitable place to mount them, I can see quite a few possibilities beyond just retaining walls.Based on my initial setup and testing, I'm very impressed. They're solidly built, the color-changing capability looks great, and they should make a really nice addition to our outdoor lighting once I get them permanently installed.

You can control them with SmartLife / Alexa, Google. That alone is a step above the rest. The quality is really good, they are very waterproof, and you can install them any way you want. There's a bracket you can screw into a wall, or cement into the actual foundation, wall, or rockwork. Then you can move the light up or down any way you want it positioned. These are great accent yard lights, and as you can see in the photos they do shine bright and vibrant at night. They are not spot lights, they are supposed to be accent lights. You can string 40 of them together along, all coming from a 200 watt 12v controller. That's pretty amazing. You need to know a bit about wiring to get them strung up, it's easy to do, but just takes time...Although they are pricy, they are totally worth the price since they have ability to connect to smart apps and you can wire them around custom as you desire. Setting up is done with remote first, then to SmartLife very easily, it was absolutely easy to do, just make sure you have bluetooth on. I would get these on a discount if you can, but for what they offer in a slim style light that can fit anywhere, these are totally worth the price and a good value as is.

I’ve been wanting to install some smart retaining wall lights on my block wall for a long time. I finally took the plunge and bought these. Having installed all kinds of outdoor lights over the years, I have a deep understanding of high-quality outdoor lighting, and the quality of these lights is definitely a cut above anything else I’ve seen before.These RGB smart retaining wall lights are fantastic, installation was simple with the 12V low voltage system. I installed 16 of them along the front edge of an 80ft long block wall, and it’s so convenient to control them with my phone and the remote. All you need to do is follow the installation instructions and pair the remote control with the app in advance. I can turn the lights on and off, set the light colors, adjust the brightness, and set a schedule. I can choose from warm white, cool white, and red or green for holiday decorations. The colors are very vibrant, and I especially love being able to switch colors on the fly depending on the occasion. The light is just right, not too bright, yet soft enough to make my backyard landscape look especially charming at night.I also love the swivel design, which lets me adjust the direction of the light. If one breaks, I can easily remove and replace it by simply unscrewing the two screws on the mounting bracket, as long as I have a spare light on hand. This is very important to me, I don’t want to damage the wall cap just to replace a single light. And the low voltage design makes me feel safe, especially since we have pets playing in the yard.I Highly recommend if you’re looking to upgrade your outdoor space!
