I use a LOT of bungee cords. It seems that anytime I'm walking through a "big box store" and see a pack on sale I pick 'em up. I was really happy to get these via the Amazon Vine program.I have two electric bikes that I built using parts from Amazon, and they both have very large homemade racks on the back which allow me to haul a lot of stuff. I also use bungee cords in the pickup truck, and of course around the house.As I use the bikes a lot, I go through a lot of bungee cords like the ones in this review. It seems they don't hold up well to constant stretching, but then at this price point it really is not a big deal. I prefer this style of cord over the rubber tarp straps, as they are much harder to deal with.Since most of the other straps I have used are exactly like these, I can probably reasonably expect these to perform similarly. Which means a couple of months before they start showing sections of failing and finally losing the ability to function correctly. I never get my straps wet, so I'm guessing it is just the constant stretching that causes the straps to eventually fail.Although at first I thought the rubber tips were a nice touch, they proved to be aggravating and I removed them. Since I'm not worried about scratching stuff up that works best for me.I think that a12 of these for the present price is an "OK" deal, about normal for a set like these.

Purpose for Product: We haul lots of stuff into the hi desert mountains. Bungee cords are used every day to securethe loads. They are frequently breaking or just flinging themselves into the desert just totorment us. Sneaky little things.There are just never enough of these cords around.Product Inspection: Twelve 24" Bungee blue cords. Metal U hook ends with plastic tips.Product Performance: Metal hooks are sturdy enough in relation to the cord strength. Hook tips might have to beglued on to keep them around for long. Cord stretch is medium elasticity. Cord cover isreasonably robust.Summary: Price point is about right for what you get. There is nothing special about these cords - there were noobvious defects or failure points.

Bungie cords are one of those things that everyone should have laying around the house for various purposes. Like tape or rope they have multiple uses. And these are some superior quality cords that hopefully should last a long time. Their stretch rate is about 2X. So, they stretch to about twice their relaxed length. And they rebound back to their relaxed length when released. Cheaper lower quality cords don't rebound as well and lose their elasticity over time making them useless eventually. One detail I really appreciate is the rubber tips on the end of the metal hooks to keep from scratching or gouging what they are hooked to. These are perfect for securing my e-bike to the car bike rack without fears of it falling off. And rain is no problem. Getting them wet has no effect on their strength or elasticity.

We never seem to have enough bungees, so I ordered this 12-pack. We use them for a whole host of things around the property, from tying down tarps to securing trash cans. I handed these over to my husband who wasted no time finding uses for them.Carrying trash cans in a trailer down a 600 ft stone driveway is always a risky job, but these bungees secured the cans and kept them upright the entire way. My husband said the bungees are good quality, they’re strong and the hooks are secure. While no bungees last forever, he feels these are at least as good, if not better, than the ones he purchased from the local home improvement store. He also noted that the price for this 12-pack is very reasonable compared to the ones he bought locally.These will see a lot of use tying down covers and tarps, securing things in the trailer, holding things in place on our beach dolly, and temporarily holding things while we work on it. There are so many uses that I can’t think of them all, but this 12-pack will see a lot of work.

I was excited when I received these because I had an immediate use for them. I have a cargo trailer with standalone metal shelving that I use to organize a ridiculous number of products.
