Replacement Filter For Honeywell FC100A1003

I have to say I was afraid that I was duped at first, I thought I got the wrong item until I saw the instructions to put it together with the "pins". This filter does a good a job than others I have installed, since it is a 4 inch thick filter, it can process more air as the pleats are longer and not shorter, so more surface area for air to go through with ease. I can definitely say it can remove as much dust as the other brands I have tried out. The durability is like any other, it can be replace every 3 to 6 months unlike the 1 inch pleated filters. Installation is really easy if it fits perfectly and have a compatible slot. It is a great quality filter. Great condition. Unfortunately when I ordered it I made a mistake in the size and ordered a 4” instead of 5”, so it didn’t fit correctly. I did go ahead and use it but it does not fit properly so it can’t be evaluated properly.

I used this 16x20x4 MERV 11 filter as a replacement for a Honeywell FC100A1003 style HVAC filter. It came packed smaller than I expected, but it opened up and assembled quickly into a rigid filter that fit the slot correctly.The filter media looks just as dense as the OEM filter I replaced. Once assembled, the frame felt solid enough to slide in without folding or fighting me, and the pleats were evenly spaced.Airflow through the system seemed normal after installation, and the house air felt fresher after replacing the old filter. I am giving it 5 stars because it fit properly, was easy to put together, and looks as good as the OEM filter without the OEM price.

When this filter arrived in a smaller box than expected, I thought I'd ordered the wrong product. There is some assembly required, but it was easy and I applaud the manufacturer for the reduced shipping material. The filter is sturdy, no bending or twisting after it was put together.

When the box arrived I thought I got ripped off, it was so much smaller than the 16 x 20 size. It actually has to be assembled before use, I have never seen an air filter like this. That being said, it was a really clever and space saving idea. It was easy to assembly, expand the filter and push a couple pins in the end and its done. It probably took less than a minute to assemble. You can tell just by the feel of the filter that the quality is top notch. And once it is assembled it is pretty rigid.

Better than expected . Came collapsed and easy to assemble with a few pop rivots to expand to full size . Within hours I could tell it was working. The stale air was removed from my closed up home

I am always so surprised when these arrive in a much smaller box than I was originally expecting…..I have recently started using filters this large in the homes I rent. Most homes that are rental, require me to change the filter monthly but only at $5-10 a filter. But with filters at an average of $50-100 each, there is no way I can afford to change them that often nor does the equipment tell you to either. I recently moved into this house and the last renter only used the cheap variety that is the complete wrong size for this furnace. My husband doesn’t really have allergies where I have seasonal. But since we have moved in, everyone, including the dog has been sneezing continuously. While looking for a filter to replace the one that was in my furnace and was the wrong size, I came across these. They are more affordable and the correct size. Within minutes of putting it in, we noticed a big change in our sneezing. No one was affected by the poor air quality in the house anymore.These might be more expensive than what we were paying before but since we only need to change them every 3- 6 months we are actually saving money, especially using this variety instead of name brand. There is no difference in name brand to these except that I have to build these. But, these are easier to store when small, and building the filter myself saves money on the road and delivery so, I am fine with it.These filters are the same as the name brand in quality and sustainability. There is no difference in quality only in price. These work so well, and we are finally breathing clean air again compared to all the cheap filters that barely worked. Having pets, you want something that cleans the air more and having seasonal allergies, you want something that helps keep the pollen from circulating in the house. These filters remove all these contaminates from the air and make it far more breathable. My husband no longer sneezes inside the home which was always a sign that the air quality was getting bad…..again and it was time to replace the filter.
