Clear Waterproof Sealant

This worked perfectly for a craft project I made using clear plastic plates and printed artwork underneath. Once the artwork was adhered under the plate I sealed with this. I know that’s not what it’s made for, but why not test it with something that will get immediate and regular use? In any case it works beautifully for sealing and goes on easily with the included brush. Just ensure that coats are thin if you want a truly clear finish. The thicker the coat, the more you’ll be able to see it.

I ordered this waterproof sealant to use on some holes I had around the outside siding of my house. So far its been good. First, applying it was easy and straightforward. I specially like the fact that it's clear so that you can't really see it on my tan colored house. It goes on and dries transparent. I used it on wood siding but it says that you can also use it on concrete and metal. I applied it two days ago and so far and it dried nice and clear and everything looks sealed. It won't really know until We get some rain and it's put to the test But as of right now it looks like it will seal nicely. I'm hoping this will seal the leaks and stop water from getting behind my boards which was causing mold to start.Overall it seems like a good quality product. If it keeps the water from getting behind the boards it will be worth every penny! For the amount you get in the tub it's a good value. So far I would give it 4 out of 5 stars with the fifth star only waiting to see if it really does repel the rain!

It’s a highly useful product! For starters, I really appreciate that they include a suitable brush for application, so I don’t have to scramble. It arrived 100% intact and is well sealed, which I wish I could say is always the case with shipped online items. The sealant itself is way less noxious than chemical stuff I’ve dealt with in the past, which is a blessing. Obviously you always want to work with proper ventilation and take appropriate precautions. But it’s really nice not to deal with off-gassing for weeks. And I’ll take water clean-up over harsh solvents any day! Application does take a while since you’re supposed to do multiple coats in overlapping directions, but the actual amount of effort required is low. I really hope it holds up OK after using only a relatively small volume to waterproof my composite wood deck box. I secured the lid and have it on an indoor shelf, so I hope to be able to use it for future projects that arise. You really do get a generous amount for the price!

I ordered this to seal a water leak in my garage. During heavy rains, water leaks through the lower edge of my garage door where a side jamb had separated from the frame. After replacing a small piece of the jamb, I used this sealant to insure the jamb doesn't separate and prevent water from entering. After about a week, and one rain storm, the sealant is working well, no separation and no rain. I used a liberal amount of sealant on this project and was impressed with the adhesion and water resistance. Next stop is a significant crack in the concrete walkway outside our front door. The sealant isn't a permanent fix but will prevent further growth in the crack until we can get a permanent solution. This is a useful item to have on hand. I appreciate the transparency. You have to look closely to realize it's there. It's also easy to apply. I used a disposable wooden paint stirrer with a flat edge to force the sealant between the door jamb and frame. Very strong adhesion, quick drying, easy application. Strong buy recommendation.

This sealant came with a brush and good instructions for how to use it EXCEPT that it lacked instructions for clean-up, which is odd. But since it's water-based, soap and water theoretically should remove it while wet. If it dries on your skin, expect to peel it/scrub it off rather than merely washing it off.I used this on the plywood ceiling of a workshop that leaks during the rainy season here in the Pacific Northwest. Yes, I know it would be better to use it on the roof, but the roof is under a deck and inaccessible. So, without dismantling the deck to get to the roof, the ceiling is it.The instructions tell you to brush it on in one direction, wait 24 hours, and then re-coat in the other direction. The instructions also suggest covering gaps before applying the sealant. I used a flashing tape for this and painted the sealant over the tape as I covered the plywood. As you might expect, the material is pretty gloppy, the consistency of a thin caulk.Using the enclosed chip brush does leave brush marks, and you can see the material on the surface that's coated, so don't use it anywhere where this would create an issue for you.I won't know if the sealant works for my application until next month, when our rainy season begins. I'm hopeful, of course. This isn't going to be the be-all and end-all solution for the workshop, but if it gives me a couple of years before I have to do something drastic like tear up the deck to get to the workshop roof below, I'll be very satisfied.

I saw a review mention that this waterproof sealant is pricey, and I could not disagree more when I consider that legitimately sealed up the cracks I had in the vinyl siding of my house.. I'm not saying it's an exact calculation, but I suspect that vinyl siding replacement would cost a heck of a lot more than a jar of this stuff! I will also qualify my review by saying that this is the first product of this kind I have used, so I don't have any others to reference. But that said, I found this tippy fantastic. It's easy to apply with a paintbrush or foam sponge, cures within 24 hours, creating a watertight seal. The 35 Oz jar costs under $25 and there was enough to seal up all of the cracks I had in the vinyl siding around my home's bulkhead. The material dries clear and I didn't even find that it had an offensive odor. It really is great stuff, and I am very confidently giving it a 5 star review and a glowing recommendation.

I ordered this waterproof sealant because we had a leak in our roof around one of the vents and needed something to seal that area. Application was very easy and straightforward. The consistency made it easy to get the coating where we needed it and cover the problem area well.I like that it dries transparent because it doesn’t leave an obvious repair behind. It can also be used on several different materials, including concrete, wood, and metal, so having a large 35-ounce container makes it useful to keep around for other repairs.So far, everything looks sealed well, but the real test will be the next good rain. It hasn’t rained since we applied it, so I can’t say for sure yet that it completely stopped the leak. I’m not going to claim something is waterproof until Mother Nature actually tests it!The coating feels flexible once applied, and overall it seems like a decent-quality product. It was certainly easier than making a more involved roof repair around the vent. If it keeps the water out when it rains, I’ll be very happy with it.For the amount you get and how easy it is to apply, it seems like a good value for the money so far. Now I’m just waiting on some Texas rain to see how well it actually performs.

This is a quality product and so is the brush. It's a bit expensive, over 20 bucks american, but it works. I used it on the outside of my leaky window sill and can't praise the stuff enough. It dried in under a day, is transparent, and it even seems to take paint relatively well.
