These retaining wall lights are an excellent value for the money, especially getting a full four-pack with mounting plates included. The build quality feels very durable, featuring a powder-coated aluminum housing and a solid stainless steel mounting bracket with a smooth, rugged texture. These 7 inch low voltage (12vdc) outdoor lights offer a lot of value at their price point for the 4 pack; for the 12 pack the "in the box value" is insane and is certainly the way to go with these if you need anything more than 4 pack offers. The metal construction is solid, the design makes them easy to install just about anywhere and adjust to your liking.Light output is more than acceptable, with the 2700k temp offering a lovely warm glow to whatever you have the light directed towards. Connectivity is a breeze as long as you get a decent power supply that you can connect them to and the wiring needed to get from point A - the power supply - to point B, - the light. I recommend no smaller than 16g wiring unless your power source is located relatively far away, in which case a larger gauge is probably needed.Hard to imagine someone not being pleased with the final outcome on these and the value of what they offer. Easy 5 stars for me.

These lights are simple. You have four 2700k light sources on a rotating bracket. If you are building a new structure, these brackets can be embedded in a mortar joint. For old one, anchors and screws are provided for flexible installations.The electrical connection is straight forward, brown goes to positive and blue to negative. Included are waterproof connectors but you might need extra wire depending how far apart you plan on putting them, about 36 inches length of wire come with the units. This is switch on and switch off. If you can find a power source that can be controlled with an assistant, that would be great to schedule the lights. I guess an outdoor assistant plug would work.It is worthwhile to point out that these should be connected in parallel for 12 volts to be available at each light. Casing feels well made and is solid. This should be good in any weather. They are very aesthetic and blend well with surroundings. There are many ways to install these and I love how the rotating bracket helps in this quest. I think your plan should really include how to hide the wires.No power supply is not included. The good news is that you can buy a more powerful power supply in case you elect to add more as you really like these.I found the price per quality to be good. I got these for my deck, not for a retaining wall, but I know they will do their job very well there too.They seem to be extremely well built. The brackets are made of thick stainless steel and are nicely finished in powder black. The housing of the LEDs themselves is made of aluminum, and just as nicely finished. They also come with a full kit of mounting hardware. The wires have thick protective insulation, looks like silicone but I may be wrong.The diffuser has just enough transparency so that the individual LEDs don't look like singles, but more of a continuous band of light (the camera looking forward into them is lying - when installed they look better).The warm light is very pleasant to look at.I've seen people install cold blue lights outdoor, and it just doesn't look right at night. I much prefer these at 2700K, slightly yellowish hue. You can adjust their angle easily, and they will stay in place so you can light the wall or the floor in any direction.They aren't overly bright, which is a good thing as they have no dimmer.At night, you need the minimal amount of light to be able to orient in the space, not something that will be an eyesore.Note that you will need about 1/2A at 12V for each of the four lights - 2A in total if you're installing only four. There is no battery or internal power supply.IF you plan to install more than 4, multiply the current accordingly.12V DC outdoor LED power supplies are plentiful and cheap, just make sure to install them in a protected location and run conduit to each light so that the wires don't get damaged.Overall, I'm very happy with these and think that they offer excellent value for money.Sturdy build, good quality materials, and a very affordable price, which earns these lights my wholehearted 5 star rating!
