Comes nicely presented in a better than average box.The strip is well encapsulated to cope with the weather and the length of this is probably ok, I am not sure if additional strips are available without having to also buy the whole package as the end of the strip looks like it could accommodate extension. In the app you also have to configure this, so the possibilities could be there. The connectivity with the APPECK app (configured on a Android) was straightforward, although it did take a while to detect the device after clicking on Add.I am new to the APPECK app as other devices with this companies' product used another app. So, I was pleased to find many scenes available to set up on this. Some are Static and others are animated. Additionally, there is a DIY function to create your own.I do like the quality that I'm coming to expect from APPECK labelled products and this is no exception. The adhesion is good as is the pad on the back of the controller.Once I set up the device in the app, I enabled the app as a skill in Alexa. This made voice control of the product instantly available, so I do not use the controller. The picture attached, does not do the product justice as the camera tried to compensate for the dark. However, these are quite bright and are on the underside of the rail on a deck and the illumination from them clearly makes any obstacles visible.Pricewise, this is at the top of its price point.

These are nice LED strip lights and look great once they’re set up. The colors are bright, and there are plenty of options for changing up the look depending on where you’re using them. One thing to keep in mind is that the 16.4-foot strip isn’t super long, so I would definitely measure the area you plan to use them in beforehand. They work well for a smaller space or accent area, but you may need more length if you’re trying to go around an entire room.My biggest issue so far has been the app. I’ve been having some trouble getting it to work properly, which is disappointing since a lot of the customization is done through the app. The lights themselves are nice, but I haven’t been able to take full advantage of all the features yet because of that.Overall, I like the lights themselves, but the app experience could definitely be easier.

🔥 TL/DR: A decent RGBW light strip with app control and individually addressable sections, but there are some significant limitations. The RGB LEDs can only be controlled in groups of six, the separate white LEDs can't participate in effects, and the product listing doesn't disclose the relatively low LED density.👍 Pros:o Available in 5-meter or 10-meter lengthso Easy app control for basic colors and brightnesso RGB LEDs support multicolor segmented effectso Separate 2700K white LEDs provide a nice warm whiteo Reasonable price👎 Cons:o RGB LEDs are addressable only in groups of six, not individuallyo White LEDs cannot be incorporated into effectso Only 24 RGB LEDs and 24 white LEDs per metero LED density isn't disclosed in the packaging or product informationo App is fairly limited🧐 Good to know:o The 10-meter version is about 32 feet long, enough for a fairly substantial installationo Although the strip uses addressable RGB LEDs, one control chip operates six LEDs, so every effect is built from six-LED sectionso The 2700K white LEDs are completely separate from the RGB LEDso The white LEDs can be turned on/off and dimmed, but can't be mixed into animated effectso There is an inline hardware controller, but you'll want the app for most useful control📝 DetailsIn general, this is a decent set of LED strip lights. You can get it in either a 5-meter or 10-meter length, and 10 meters is about 32 feet, which is enough for a substantial string of lights just about anywhere. The price is reasonable as well. You are going to want to use the app. There is an external controller with a few buttons, but its functionality is pretty rudimentary. The app itself is also somewhat limited, although basic things are easy: you can set the strip to a single color, adjust the intensity, and select from various effects. There are a couple of important limitations, though. The first is the way the addressable LEDs work. Although the strip uses individually addressable LED technology, one control chip actually controls a group of six RGB LEDs. That means you aren't controlling every LED independently. Any multicolor effect you create is composed of six-LED sections that are always the same color. This is also an RGBW strip, with separate 2700K warm-white LEDs. Unfortunately, those white LEDs are completely separate from the RGB effects. You can turn the white LEDs on and off and adjust their intensity, but you can't incorporate them into effects. That's a missed opportunity, although I understand that supporting them in the effects software would make things considerably more complicated. One thing I particularly don't like is that the packaging doesn't tell you the LED density. That's important information because LED count is one of the biggest factors in both the appearance and cost of a strip. I counted 24 RGB LEDs per meter, along with a separate set of 24 white LEDs per meter.Overall, this isn't a bad product, and it works as advertised for basic accent lighting and simple effects. But the coarse six-LED RGB segments, limited use of the white LEDs, modest LED density, and failure to clearly disclose that density keep it from earning a higher rating.--------I'm honored to be included in the Amazon Vine program, and I work really hard to make these reviews and videos helpful. I put in a lot of effort to try to help you learn the most important facts about the product. Good luck with your decision, and if you do decide to buy the product, I hope the things you find in this review make it easier to use.

If you have ever tried installing basic RGB LED strips to illuminate a room, kitchen counter, or TV setup, you know how disappointing "white" light can look on standard RGB lights. When basic RGB strips mix red, green, and blue LEDs to make white, they usually create a harsh, cool blueish tint that feels clinical and washes out room decor. RGBW LED strip lights solve this issue by adding dedicated, pure white LEDs directly to the strip, giving you vibrant, customizable color modes for parties and cozy, high-quality warm or cool white lighting for daily use. What makes a 32.8ft (10m) RGBW Smart App Strip Light such an essential ambient lighting upgrade is the combination of dedicated white illumination and smart app customization. Via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi smart app integration (such as Govee Home, Tuya, or Smart Life), you can easily schedule timers, set custom DIY color segments, sync light pulses to music, and adjust brightness seamlessly from your phone or voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant.

I recently picked up these 16.4ft RGBW LED Strip Lights, and overall, they have completely transformed the vibe in my space! Whether you're setting up accent lighting for everyday decor or turning them on for a party, the color output and dynamic modes are top-notch.Highlights:Vibrant RGBW & Segmented Control: Unlike standard single-color strips, the segmented control lets you display multiple colors along the line simultaneously. The dedicated white LEDs (RGBW) also make a huge difference when you just want crisp, clean ambient lighting instead of party colors.AI Lighting & 100+ Scenes: The preset scene modes and AI-generated lighting options offer incredible variety. Finding a mood setting for holidays, music sync, or movies is effortless once you dive in.Seamless Smart Home Integration: Pairing with Alexa was straightforward—being able to turn them on/off or adjust brightness with voice commands is super convenient.Strong Adhesive: Sticks securely to clean surfaces without peeling off at the corners.Minor Drawbacks:App Learning Curve: With over 100 scene modes, AI options, and custom segment controls, the companion app can feel a bit overwhelming at first. It takes some exploring to figure out where all the customization tools are located.16.4ft Runs Short for Large Rooms: While 16.4 feet is plenty for backlighting a TV, desk, or headboard, you will need multiple strips if you plan to outline an entire room ceiling.Final VerdictIf you want feature-packed, intelligent lighting with true segmented color control, this light strip delivers great performance for the price. It easily earns 4 stars—just give yourself a little time to get familiar with all the settings in the app!

A 16.4 ft long RGBW LED strip light with "APPECK Light"C app control with over 100 pre-programmed scene modes,. There is an AI module and you can customize your own routines and control segments. So far I have played with the pre-programmed scene modes but not AI or building my own scenes. The system is also compatible with Alexa for verbal command. The white light is warm and both the white & RGB light level can be adjusted dynamically from very bright to subdued. The scene modes are organized under categories like parties, holidays, etc. The pre-programmed scenes are well done, but I have not been able to find out if there is a way to speed up or slow down the pre-programmed action. Several of them execute too slowly for my taste, but so far I have not found a way to alter the speed. The controller is built on ESP32, which is a low-cost, low-power microcontroller series featuring built-in Wi-Fi, dual-mode Bluetooth, and a high-performance Tensilica Xtensa dual-core processor. There are selections you can make with the buttons on the controller in addition to the app. There is actually scant documentation beyond setup and troubleshooting, but I can see some of the customization elements and it seems somewhat intuitive. I am certain with some play I can figure it out, but will be a little disappointed if I cannot access the speed settings. Honestly, this is a very effective "mood" and "celebratory" light strip and even if I cannot mess with speed the wide range of selections make this quite useful inside rooms or even on covered decks (although the controller module itself it is not waterproof). For lighting while socializing, the lack of increased speed is actually an asset because as is they contribute to the ambiance without undue distraction. The build quality is robust, apparently you can cut them to modify length, but there is no provision to re-connect or power up the unused portion removed. There is strong adhesive backing to make installation easy.We have not yet decided on where to install these permanently. Thus far some ad hoc placement has included around a double window, in a dining room and also a living room. In all cases these can be a positive addition, but we need to look at some bedroom apps, too, before deciding. This 16.7 ft version costs $70, more expensive than some others but the quality, robust build and wide range of pre-programmed scenes make that cost reasonable.

These LED strip lights have been fantastic. In fact, this is my second time purchasing them after moving because they performed so well the first time. They've lasted for years, and I didn't hesitate to buy another set.The brightness is easily one of their biggest strengths. They produce rich, vibrant colors and are bright enough to completely transform a room. Whether you're using them for accent lighting, gaming, movies, or everyday ambiance, they provide plenty of light and look fantastic. The app offers an incredible amount of customization. There is a bit of a learning curve at first, but once you become familiar with it, the possibilities are almost endless. You can choose individual colors along different sections of the strip, create your own lighting patterns, adjust brightness, and select from numerous built-in effects. The Bluetooth connection has been reliable, and I've found myself using the app almost exclusively.Build quality is noticeably better than the inexpensive LED strips you'll often find. The strips feel durable, the LEDs are evenly spaced, and the overall construction gives the impression they'll last for years. The adhesive also deserves some credit. On smooth, clean surfaces it sticks very well and has remained securely attached. Textured walls can be a little more challenging, but once the adhesive is firmly pressed into place, it holds surprisingly well.Installation is straightforward, but like any LED strip, you do need to be careful around corners. Sharp bends or pressing the strip too tightly into a corner can damage the internal connections, so gentle curves or corner connectors are the better approach. The only real drawbacks are with the packaging and power controller. My first strip arrived with the beginning of the roll bent because of the way it was packaged, although customer service quickly resolved the issue with a replacement. The power controller is also a little heavier than expected, which can pull on the strip during installation if it isn't supported properly.Overall, those are relatively minor complaints compared to how well these lights perform. They offer outstanding brightness, excellent app controls, durable construction, and nearly endless customization options. If you're looking for high-quality LED strip lights that are a noticeable step above the bargain-priced alternatives, these are an easy recommendation.
