We are part of the Govee fan club in this household. We have many of their lighting products and have so far always been really pleased with each. These LED strip lights are a newer, cooler flex light that can be used for a myriad of different things. We have two lining the inside of our bookshelves, this one will do the same on a smaller shelf at the 16 foot length. The strip has good adhesive on the back that becomes pretty attached if you push on it. I suggest gently getting it where you want before really attaching it well. They tell you that you can cut the strip down if you need a shorter length which is nice if necessary. We have not needed to do that. The flatter design of this make it easier to place and work with, especially when using it like we are in lighting up a shelf. They include cable clips to hide your cords which is always appreciated too. As always, adding it to the app is super simple and straightforward and then you can play with all kinds of preset styles or make your own. If you are in the market, you can't go wrong with these and the current price of $85 is a nice discount.

I mounted this under the lip of a low shelf, and I have to say the light comes out really smooth, no visible dots or spots along the strip. The diodes are packed pretty densely and covered with a soft silicone coating, so it diffuses nicely into more of a clean wash on the wall rather than looking like individual LEDs.The adhesive held up fine once I cleaned the surface first and pressed it down bit by bit along the run. Setting up the app took about a minute over Wi-Fi, and from there customizing different color segments was pretty intuitive, more so than I expected. I tried warm white tones for evenings and it looked natural, no weird color fringing that I could notice.It also stays fairly cool to the touch even after running for a few hours, which I was a little worried about at first. I've got it hooked up to voice commands too, so I can dim it without grabbing my phone, which has been a nice convenience.Overall it's made the room feel a bit more put together and less like there's just a utility strip stuck under the shelf. Pretty happy with it so far.

I purchased these Govee COB LED Strip Lights to add some light and ambiance to my home office. The lighting in my office was not great, and I wanted a cool way to add some additional lighting. I've used and loved Govee products for awhile now. I have never had an issue getting a new device paired or set-up. This light came with a self adhesive backing. I was not sure how or where I was going to put it, but I went with putting it around my closed trim. The adhesive is very strong and works well to hold it, I will say it was somewhat difficult to go around the corners, but we were able to make it work. My daughter immediately fell in love with the light. She was very upset that we were putting it in my office and not her room. She convinced her mother to get her one if she does good on her homework for the next month. I love the ability to turn the intensity of the light up or down as well as change the color. Right now I have three different Govee lights in my office and they are putting off a Cyberpunk vibe. I like that I can change up the feeling of the room whenever I want through the app and adjusting the different lights. Govee seems to always be updating the app making it easier to control rooms and devices. I would suggest this light to anyone looking for a neat way to add some light or atmosphere to a room.

I’ve installed several led light strips over the years and these Govee COB LEDs are definitely S Tier. Right out of the box, the packaging and product presentation sets a high bar. All items were safely packed and displayed. Even the strip itself was neatly coiled and thoughtfully secured with Govee branded velcro wraps. I'd put the unboxing experience right up there with Apple.The strip lights have a very premium look and feel. The 840 LED per meter density and diffused COB LED design illuminates evenly across the entire length of the strip which totally eliminates the harsh glow common with cheaper alternatives.Installation was very quick and easy with the peel and stick adhesive which instantly and securely bonds to the surface. The only place I needed to use the included extra adhesive supports was around a few tight bends. I also added a few nail in cable clips I had to add extra support in the middle of the longer sections. It would be great if Govee included some in the box.These are truly plug and play. As soon as I plugged them in and opened the Govee App on my phone, the app instantly recognized them and prompted me to add them to my devices. The app is very intuitive and feature rich. It makes it super simple to customize the exact look to suit your individual vibe.Bottom line these are very solid built and attractive Premium COB LED Strip Lights. The even diffused glow these put out is really amazing.They instantly elevated the aesthetic of our kitchen cabinets and counter tops by adding a beautiful diffused under-glow. Well worth the upgrade IMO. Now I just need to finish painting the cabinets!

I may be a bit biased, as I really like Govee products. They tend to be a bit more expensive than some of the competition, but, after trying Phillips, Cync and others, none work as well, plus Govee has good (not great) support - Cync has the best support, but Govee always responds within about 24 hrs. This light strip supports bluetooth, matter and wifi. I use wifi and connect to Alexa for voice control, which works great. The light strip I got was 5 meters/16 feet. I ended up cutting about 5 feet off as I needed it in a smaller area. You can cut the strip on the cut marks, which are about 4 inches apart. This connects thru the Govee app, and you have SO many choices as to what kind of lighting you want. If you cut the strip, the app allows you to re-configure it to the new length so the scene modes work properly. Great light strip!

I got this LED Strip Lights (16.4ft) to upgrade my bedroom and accent the cabinets, and I’m really pleased with how it works. The installation was straightforward— this strip is cuttable and the adhesive stuck well to painted wood and the underside of my cabinets. The LuminBlend+ COB effect makes the lighting much smoother, continuous than the dot‑style strips I used to have before with no visible LED spots, just a clean wash of color.Performance & features: The RGBIC zones are great to play with, I can set multiple colors along the strip and transitions are buttery smooth. Color range from warm 1000K up to 10000K is helpful for mood lighting or daylight tones. The Matter integration on my smart home was seamless and worked very well with Alexa and Google Assistant, voice control works for on/off and scenes. The SD card DIY effects and the app presets made it easy to create a few custom scenes for movie nights and gaming.Design & usability: The strip is flexible and the 16.4ft length covered my kitchen island and a shelf run with room to spare. The strip is cuttable at the points and connectors are easy to use. The adhesive is robust, but if your surface is dusty you’ll want to clean it first. The controller box is a bit larger than I expected, so plan where you hide it.For ambient lighting, streaming setups, or cabinet underlighting this Govee COB strip is a big step up from basic LED strips. Smooth color, good integrations (Alexa/Google/Matter) and length is worth it if you want a clean, professional look.

I'm a huge fan of Govee, and now a huge fan of these lights. I've been wanting to upgrade my under cabinet lighting for some time, both on top and bottom. I might have hit a small snag however. While these lights are trimmable, I'm not quite sure how I'm going to bridge the gap where my microwave is mounted. I'm going to fall back to social media for ideas how to keep that length continuous, or perhaps Govee can help me?! The lights themselves are absolutely gorgeous, with continuous light from every inch. I'm beside myself over the color and consistent brightness. While this project is going to be difficult, I think the end result will be stunning. Good stuff again Govee!
