Our side deck had an old motion sensor flood light. It was overkill for bright lighting on this small deck. Also, the fixture was ugly (Pic1).What a difference the hameso Wall Light makes! (Pic2) The fixture is beautiful. Textured glass and black metal make it a great upgrade to lighting this area. I separately ordered a Siding Mounting Block to enable a straight, level surface for the motion sensor light on my horizontal cedar siding. Wall Light looks terrific mounted on this black surface.The new fixture has a selector button that enables control of light intensity and dusk-to-dawn usage. This is a key attribute for me and I'm working on dialing it in for my specific needs.I'm very satisfied with this light fixture.

First thing first, it looks fantastic. Even better than the photos in the listing. No flaws I can find in the finish. It comes with a 2 machine screws and 2 wire nuts. The wiring inside it is 18awg certified wiring, but I can't find a UL, ETL or CSA sticker anywhere, meaning theres a chance the whole assembled light fixture has not submitted for testing. I believe it needs to be listed as a whole unit by a certified laboratory to officially pass a local building inspection That said, the wiring is premium certified wiring so my only concern would be water intrusion. While there are little rubber seals on the screw holes and an O ring at the sensor opening, the back is completely open and there is no seal for the back side against the house. I plan on installing this at Grandma's since she is having more difficulty at the front door and we need to have a light come on when she comes home so she can see enough to unlock the door. I'll probably end up caulking around the fixture against the house and leave a little hole in the bottom. I also might put a dab of silicone caulk in the hollow screw where the wires for the light bulb go to help keep water out of the wiring.All that said it looks amazing and is definitely a premium light fixture for a value price. Its got cool features which appeal to me, and a timeless look which I know is going to appeal to grandma.
