Dimmable mr16 led bulb

I’m in the process of replacing a lot of our old halogen bulbs with LEDs, so I’m always interested in finding good-quality replacements. These MR16 bulbs caught my attention because of the black housing, which is something I haven’t seen very often. I actually like the look because it gives the bulb a slightly more modern appearance, particularly in fixtures where the bulb itself is visible.The 4000K natural white light is a nice middle ground. It’s bright and clean without being that really harsh, blue-white light that some LEDs produce. The 38-degree beam angle is also useful for track lighting and recessed fixtures because it puts the light where you actually need it instead of scattering it everywhere. They are dimmable as well, which gives me some flexibility depending on which fixture I’m using them in.The biggest reason I’m making the switch from halogen is energy use and heat. LEDs use significantly less electricity and produce much less heat, which is especially noticeable when you have a lot of lights running. I’m replacing quite a few bulbs, so the potential savings should add up over time. Overall, these seem like a very good MR16 replacement, and I particularly like the combination of the natural white light and the unusual black housing.

These are decently bright, a bit dimmer than I would say a 60 watt bulb is so the 50w equivalent rating is accurate I think. Color temperature seems to be about right as well for a natural white, not too cool (bluish tint) and not too warm(yellow tint).I'm using these for some LED projects I'm working on and not track lighting or anything like that so can't speak to the them being dimmable or not.

Very nice LED MR16. They match the color temperature and brightness of my existing Halogen 50W bulbs very well but consume 1/10th the amount of electricity so that's great for energy efficiency. In addition they are rated for a lifespan of 25,000 hours of use compared to about 2,500 on regular halogens, so even if they last only a fraction of that they are worth it. A big plus is that they are dimmable MR16's so if you have a fixture with a dimmer switch these bulbs are a must. Do not buy non-dimmable bulbs even if you do not intend to dim the lights as those types of bulbs can flicker if they are even minority dimmed. These bulbs dimmed quite nicely and evenly over their entire range. Overall a great value.Just two caveats:1) They are 12volt bulbs. Make sure that your lights are using a transformer and your existing bulbs are 12V MR16's and not 120 volt bulbs.2) If you don't intend to replace all your bulbs and you want the color of the light to match, carefully look at the color temp of one of your existing bulbs and match to that (usually something like 2700K or 3200K or 5600K)

These work perfectly in a sealed outdoor light that I have, with a clean, white color that is quite bright to illuminate a dark outside corner of my house. No flickering at all, and because it's in a pack, I have plenty of replacements, or can use the extras to have a series of outdoor lights.Recommended.

I have low voltage light fixtures that take 12V MR16 bulbs with a GU5.3 base. I preferred the look of a black housing and chose the GOHDLAMP bulbs in the 2700K color.The GOHDLAMP set of six LED bulbs came in a cardboard product box that had a molded plastic separator to keep the bulbs separated and protected during shipping. The box displayed the FCC and CE certifications. The overall look of the bulbs and packaging gave the impression of a quality product. Each bulb is rated at 450LM, typical for a 5W LED. The bulbs are rated as dimmable and can run on 12V AC or DC.Prior to installation, I tested each bulb on an adjustable DC power supply. I don’t have a variable AC voltage source, so I couldn’t test how they behave on AC. The bulb initially lit up at 4.8 volts, and once it was lit it would stay on down to 1.9 volts. I increased voltage and the bulb looked to achieve full brightness at 7.6 volts and did not get brighter as I increased the voltage to 12. This wide working range means these bulbs will work on a long wiring run where the voltage can drop along the line. All of the bulbs had the same light level and color.The GOHDLAMP bulbs are priced lower than similar 6-packs at local big-box stores. They are rated for a 35,000-hour life, more than the usual 25,000 hours. This makes the GOHDLAMP bulbs a great value.
