I have a number of Hyperlite products and they are of high quality; this 4ft shop light is no exception. The lights are well protected during shipping which too often doesn’t happen. Installation is simple but plan out your connections first. The 2 pieces can be linked together tightly or via extension. You can daisy chain more as needed which is very handy. The power connector is short so plan for extension if needed. The lights are fairly bright, my only criticism is that I think they would benefit from a frosted cover to reduce glare.

Super bright and very light. Easy to install.

Really nice shop lights. I put these over my work bench and they illuminate everything very well. I even have shelving above these and it doesn't seem to get in the way of how much light gets through. They are very light and super easy to install. You could eaisly put these in with one person without being overstressed or worried about getting them lined up even. Once the mounting brackets are in, they snap in place with a little force and come out relatively easily if you need to make adjustments. They also link together very well. It's super easy to connect them and they come apart just as easy.Overall these are nice shop lights that are super bright. I would get another set if I wanted to add more.

I bought the HYPERLITE 4-Foot LED Shop Lights, 50W 7500LM 6500K, 2-Pack for the storage area in my basement apartment, which is not well lit. I plugged them in, shut off the other lights, and they illuminated the entire room. These lights will definitely do the trick! Construction is still underway, so they have not been permanently installed yet, but I am already impressed by how bright they are.

Another excellent product from Hyperlite. I almost exclusively use their products in all my garages and storage buildings but I'm not had the opportunity to try out this 4-ft led shop light. I have several different versions but this one in particular was intriguing because first of all it can be plugged into an outlet and has a toggle switch built into the cord and second, you can connect these together and string them along a wall or wherever you need a length of good light. I temporarily rig this in the area of one of our shops where I intend to run a number of these down the length of a wall. My first impression is this is too bright of a light to use as workbench illumination, this will work much better at least 10 ft up in the air. My intent with the first batch of these is to put them high up in our 14 ft ceiling section of our one building and use it more as a night light, a strong one mind you. It has a nice crisp light but not to the point where it starts to turn blue like some cold temperature LEDs do. Also the spread is exceptional. It's not focused in a narrow area but all along the width of the light focus it is relatively consistent without any dark or hot spots. I've seen this with cheaper products. Anyway, definitely a nice compact light for maybe tight situations. But if you're looking to illuminate a working garage, be sure to check out their bigger shop lights that are more appropriate for that.

Excellent garage lighting, but my measured wattage was below the 50W claimExcellent garage lighti...

These worked very well for adding light to the poorly lit front section of my garage, and installation was easier than I expected. Before installing them, I tested the power draw with a watt meter. One light measured about 40.6 watts and both together measured 81.4 watts. Since these are advertised as 50W lights, that is the one issue I have with them. I cannot independently verify the claimed lumen output, so I am not saying they are less bright than advertised. In actual use they are extremely bright and add a substantial amount of light to my garage. The included power cord is about 60 inches end to end, and the linking cable gives roughly 23 inches of usable separation between the lights. Rather than mounting them end-to-end, I used that cable to install them side-by-side across the front portion of my garage. That gave me much better coverage where the original garage lighting was weak. The mounting clips were simple to install, and I had both lights up in less than 10 minutes. I used a level and square to keep everything lined up. My only hardware complaint is that the included drywall anchors are pretty cheap, so pre-drill the holes large enough or they can crush while installing them. For my setup, I plugged the power cord into a grounded outlet adapter at my existing garage light socket and leave the cord switch turned on. That lets these come on with my normal garage wall switch along with the existing light. They look clean installed, the linking options give you some flexibility in placement, and they put out a lot of useful light. To be clear, my four-star rating is specifically because the measured power draw was noticeably below the advertised 50W per light. As far as actual installation and lighting performance in my garage, I have had no issues.

These 4 foot shop lights are an excellent addition to my garage cabinets. They come with both hardwire and plug in options, which gives you a lot of flexibility depending on how you want to install them. The plug in cord also has a convenient on and off switch built directly into it.The lights are constructed from aluminum and plastic and feel durable and very well made. The LED strips are packed with closely spaced LEDs, and they are incredibly bright. The pictures really do not do the brightness justice. They put out a tremendous amount of light and work perfectly for illuminating a garage workspace or cabinets.Another feature I really like is that the lights can be linked together. They include the linking cable, and each light has female connections on both ends, making it easy to configure multiple lights together. Mounting hardware is also included, so everything needed for installation is right in the box.Overall, these are high quality, extremely bright, versatile shop lights that are easy to install. I would highly recommend them.

Serious Light Output for a Garage or Workshop

[Size: 4FT, Number of Items: 2]
The HYPERLITE 4ft LED Shop Lights are high-output 50-watt fixtures that put out an impressive 7,500 lumens each, and this two-pack provides a lot of illumination for a garage, workshop, basement, or other utility space. The 6500K daylight-white color temperature is definitely on the bright, cool end of the spectrum, which I prefer for task-oriented areas where visibility is more important than creating warm ambient lighting. The V-shaped housing and dual rows of LEDs also help spread the light across a wider area rather than concentrating everything directly underneath the fixture. At 7,500 lumens per fixture, these are substantially brighter than the basic LED shop lights I’ve used before. That makes them particularly useful over a workbench or in a garage where I want to clearly see what I’m cutting, sanding, assembling, or repairing. The 120-degree beam angle provides good coverage, and the clear covers allow the LEDs to deliver their full output. The aluminum housings also feel appropriate for this type of high-output fixture since they help dissipate heat during extended use.Installation is flexible, which is another thing I like about this set. They can be plugged in without requiring complicated electrical work, or they can be hardwired for a more permanent installation. Up to six fixtures can also be linked together, so it’s easy to start with a couple and expand the lighting later if necessary. That linkable design is especially convenient for a larger garage or workshop because multiple fixtures can be arranged to provide more even coverage and eliminate shadowy work areas. These aren’t decorative lights, and the very cool 6500K output isn’t what I would choose for a living room, but that’s not what they’re intended for. For a workspace, storage room, garage, or basement where I want bright, functional illumination, the combination of 7,500-lumen output, wide coverage, low 50-watt power consumption, and simple installation makes these HYPERLITE fixtures a strong option. The ETL listing and three-year warranty are also reassuring for something I expect to leave installed and use regularly.
