This reel uses heavy gauge steel which is well protected by a black powder coat finish. I was able to assemble it although it took me a little while ad I wish that some of the diagrams were a big bigger and clearer. That said, once assembled this is a superb hose reel which will last a good long time. The reel is mounted on bearings and it is smooth and easy to crank. I mounted my reel on the wall of my workshop and now I can keep my hose reels off the floor.

This air/water hose reel is amazing and I highly recommend it in any shop that uses air tools or anyone that uses air tools or a pressure washer out on job sites. This keeps your hose organized and out of the way. It also protects it from getting damaged from kinks or frays. The reel itself has a connector on the swivel and side so you can plug your source hose and the attachment hose straight to the reel which is extremely convenient so you never have to take the hose fully off. The crank and bearings are extremely smooth and it takes no resistance at all to crank it in or out. The reel itself is made of high quality steel and it’s very sturdy and durable. Assembly only took about ten minutes and after attaching the hose, it looks a lot more professional than just having a hose laying in a heap on the ground. It’s definitely on the expensive side but this seems to be one of those products that’ll likely last a decade.

The steel construction is heavy-duty, feels very sturdy, and once assembled it provides a solid mounting solution for an air or pressure washer hose.Assembly was fairly straightforward, although I do wish the instruction photos were larger. We found ourselves squinting at a few of the diagrams and had a couple of moments where we had to stop and figure things out on our own.There are two assembly tips that will save buyers some time:Before reinstalling the large reel mechanism, make sure the hose inlet is facing outward. It is much easier to position it correctly before tightening everything back together.On the opposite reel, after removing the screws, flip the silver insert inside out. The hose connection is actually hidden inside the large center pipe. At first it looks like the opening has been welded closed, but it hasn't—the fitting is simply concealed inside until you reverse that insert.Once we figured out those two details, the rest of the installation went together quickly and without any problems.Overall, this is a very well-built, industrial-grade hose reel with a smooth hand crank and solid construction. Better instruction photos would make assembly even easier, but the finished product is outstanding.
