The Backstory: An outdated office fixture that had overstayed its welcome by about a decade finally got replaced. This is what went in.The Light Output: 3600 lumens from a 36-watt LED is a real upgrade over older fixtures. The room is noticeably brighter, and the diffuser spreads light more evenly than a bare dome, with less of that harsh overhead shadow effect that makes rooms feel unevenly lit.The Look: The square profile with layered satin nickel rings is a clean, modern design that doesn't try too hard. Simple enough that it won't look dated in a few years.Switches: The product page rates it as compatible with dimmer switches. I installed mine on a standard paddle switch, so I can't personally confirm the dimmer experience. Note that this light does NOT have a remote control or an app, and it is not internet-connected out of the box. It only works at the wall switch unless you wire it for internet connection. (I do plan to add a SwitchBot relay for internet/app control, but that's a future project.)The Color Temperature: Five settings from warm (2700K) to daylight (6500K) is a nice range. Here's the catch, and the reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5: changing the color temperature requires unscrewing the bolt caps and physically flipping a switch inside the fixture. The instructions don't even mention this -- you'd only know it's possible if you read the product page carefully. A small external switch tucked near the ceiling on one side would have solved this completely and at minimal cost. As it stands, most people will set it once during installation and never touch it again, and a future homeowner may never know the option exists at all. I've included a video showing the internal switch and the color range it produces.The Install: Straightforward wiring, standard setup. Just read the product page in addition to the instructions so you know about the color switch before you button everything up.The Verdict: A bright, good-looking fixture that does its job well. The hidden color switch is a real design oversight, but if you pick your color at install time and leave it, this light is hard to fault.

My first impression when I took this light out of the box was honestly disappointment because the entire fixture is plastic. There doesn’t appear to be any metal on it at all, and in your hands it definitely has a cheaper feel than I was expecting.That said, once it is actually installed on the ceiling, you really can’t tell that it’s plastic. The black frame looks nice from below, and the light is fairly bright. I also really like that you can change the color temperature, which makes it much easier to get the lighting you want for the room.My biggest issue was the installation. There is very little depth or lip on the back of the fixture to accommodate the wiring. Once the wires and connections were tucked into the ceiling box, I had a difficult time getting the fixture to sit completely flush against the ceiling. A little more recessed space on the back would have made a huge difference and made installation much easier.Overall, it looks much better installed than it feels when you first take it out of the package. The adjustable color temperature and brightness are nice features, but the all-plastic construction and lack of space for the wiring keep me from loving it.

This light was such a huge upgrade from our old, ugly ceiling light by the front door. My boyfriend installed it in under 30 minutes and said the installation was pretty easy.It looks SO much better and makes the whole entryway feel more modern. I especially love that you can adjust both the brightness and the color temperature. I’m definitely more of a warm, yellow light person, so I love having that option instead of being stuck with harsh white lighting.I also love that I don't have to worry about constantly replacing light bulbs anymore. I'm a lighting designer by trade and I am extremely picky about the products that I use in my home. Glare bombs, dim output, poor CRI - all of those have no place in my home. This item has been fantastic. My laundry room was wired for a single fixture. As you can imagine, having good light output from that single fixture, with good color rendering and good spread is a must for a space where you're doing color matching and making sure nothing is stuck in the recesses of your washer at the end of a cycle.3600 lumens is equal to about (3) 75 watt lightbulbs (75 watt bulbs typically land around 1100 lumens) for those folks wondering how much this would replace. Considering that my existing fixture is a single surface mount can light, this has completely brightened up my space with just a simple swap of changing the fixture. Additionally, this item is dimmable down to 10% which is more than adequate for most homeowners. I do find that it loses a bit of it's color rendering at the lower range but honestly, when I'm dimming it, it is because it is way early in the morning and I'm in the room to feed the dog and I'm heading back to bed right after and don't want to be fully awake yet!This was pretty straightforward to install and I was able to swap fixtures pretty quickly. It was easy to set the CCT to 3000k which is my preferred household color temp. All in all, this was an easy way to give my laundry room a freshen up and improve the function of the space.
