Stainless Steel 304 Metal Shower Filter

I was immediately drawn to this shower filter because the stainless steel finish is a great match for our brushed stainless Moen rain shower head. Once installed, it looks like it belongs there rather than appearing as an obvious add-on.One thing to note is the size. At roughly 5½ inches long, it's a bit larger than I expected a shower filter to be. In our setup, with a relatively short rain shower arm coming from the ceiling, the added length wasn't a problem and actually looks fine. The attached photo gives a good sense of scale.Installation was straightforward, but make sure to apply Teflon tape correctly to the threaded connections. Taking the extra minute to properly wrap the threads helps prevent leaks and ensures a good seal. Once I did that, everything worked as expected.I tested the water before and after installation using a TDS (total dissolved solids) meter. The readings showed a reduction after the filter was installed, indicating that it is removing some of the dissolved material from the water. I've included the before-and-after measurements as part of my review.The biggest difference I've noticed is during and after showering. My hair feels noticeably softer, and shampoo seems to rinse out much more easily than before. The overall shower experience feels improved.The all-metal construction is another plus. Many shower filters use plastic housings, but this stainless steel design feels durable and complements higher-end bathroom fixtures much better.At the listing price at the time of this review, I think this is a great value. The combination of stainless steel construction, a finish that blends well with premium fixtures, replaceable filter media, and measurable changes in water quality makes it a compelling option in this price range.Overall, if you're looking for a shower filter with a premium appearance, solid metal construction, and measurable improvement in water quality based on testing, this is a nice option. The larger size may not work for every installation, but it fit our rain shower setup well and has performed as expected so far.

First want to say this is longer than what is pictured. I like that this is made of stainless steel but is very heavy so make sure this is installed securely to prevent accidents or damage. It was very easy to install and comes with step by step instructions and tape. I could not get this opened to check the filter but instructions showed it could be done using a wrench on each end. I didn’t try and just installed. This may be a one and done after filter’s use. Btw I previously purchased a plastic filter with a stainless steel shower head. The plastic filter never fit right. I put the stainless steel shower head on this stainless steel filter and the water pressure is fantastic!

This seems to functionally work well, I have no way of measuring it but my skin feels better, I cannot smell chemicals I used to be able to, and I used to get these pink stains on my grout I no longer get (which is what made me think of buying this). I also chose this for the design, I wanted something simple and clean and it looks great. The finish is good as well. It didn’t seem to change flow or water pressure, and was simple to install. What I am unsure about is if it takes a standard replacement cartridge or not, it looks like it would based of measurements but I have yet to need to do this. It hasn’t rusted yet (which can happen on stainless steel, different grades will rust differently), and I believe enough time has passed to say that is likely not going to be a problem.

A slightly shorter design would be much easier to handle.Despite these minor issues, the filter works really well and I’m happy with the performance. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a sturdy, high-quality shower filter, just be aware that replacements might require some extra effort

I’m giving this 3 stars. It is so well made! It is very heavy even without water. Your shower pipe needs to be sturdy. I’m not sure why this filter housing needs to be made of such thick heavy metal. It seems like way over engineering.The metal housing screws together so tight because the natal is so thick, you can’t see the seam. It says if you can’t unscrew it to use two wrenches. That didn’t work. I had to clamp it in a vice and use a pipe wrench to get it apart. I have no idea how someone would get it apart after it’s been used and water scale builds up. The threads and the joint seam is just too tight.The directions show a totally different shaped filter. So I don’t know what filters will work for replacement.Overall it works just fine. It’s easy to install. I would just treat it like a one time usage because getting it apart will be almost impossible. Plus it’s so heavy without water it will put strain on your shower pipe.It didn’t leak and looks good. I give it 3 stars because it’s so well made. But not well designed to be user friendly.
