I have been using original filters but the price seems to be creeping upwards. Looking for alternatives that are reasonably priced. I usually change filter every four to six months to help keep the unit running efficiently. This filter is comparable to the ones I have been using. The size is almost exact. When I replaced an original filter with this filter, I noticed the fit was a bit more snug. it didn't move around in the holder. I also noticed there wasn't a thud when the AC shut off with the filter falling back into place. I am not sure how all this well be in the long run. But it seems to be a better made filter than the originals. It has more pleats as well. I like the possibility of the filter possibly lasting 12 months. That will be great even if I can get 6 to 8 months out of it. I advent noticed a decrease in air movement with the filter either. Same amount of air flow is occurring as before. The air seems seems cleaner with this filter. I am hoping more dust is being filtered out of the air. All in all, this is a great filter replacement and so far, worth the cost.

For the last several years, beginning during Covid, I've been using genuine Lennox Merv 16 filters. Many professionals will warn not to use a high efficiency filter because it can result in too much back pressure.It's not that simple, because a more restrictive material can be compensated for my providing more surface area to blow through. A material that is twice as restrictive but twice the area will have the same pressure drop across it.So the key is having lots of pleats, and then integrating them with good construction. And I can tell by looking a this one that it is made right. The pleats are quite close together meaning lots of filter media was used, and there is a plastic structure that holds them in place at a perfectly uniform pitch. These look very much as well made as the name brand.The only remaining thing is the quality of the material itself. It looks the part, and they clearly didn't take shortcuts with the tooling and workmanship, so I'm hopeful it is a quality media as well. I'm for the swap in 3.5 months so will hold onto this one until then.If I'm feeling ambitions I may measure the pressure drop across the filter comparing the year old one to this one new, expecting this to be less restrictive.

This is an excellent replacement filter with super high filter media (MERV 16) that will trap even the smallest particles. I use it in my air handler for both cooling and heating applications. We have an Australian Shepherd and you can't believe how much she sheds. This filter captures every lose hair and dust to boot. It is true to size and fits perfectly.
