The NaturaBlade Feather Inspired Folding pocket knife is another unique style from NaturaBlade (a company I'm beginning to associate with stylish innovation). The knife comes in a unique designed box that you have to untied a ribbon to open the clamshell box. Inside is a form fitting place for the knife and a storage sack, along with a blank card and envelope to write a gift note on. This is a knife that is well thought out to be a gift.The knife is very sharp and has no flaw on it. The handle gives a good grip and the interior locking mechanism makes solid contact with the blade to keep it secured in the open position until it is released.

This is honestly one of the most elegant folding knives I've ever seen. What impressed me most is that it doesn't sacrifice function in order to achieve its beautiful appearance. It starts from the moment you see the box. It's obvious that a lot of thought went into the presentation. The knife arrives in a decorative gift box tied with an integrated, white ribbon. Inside you'll find a microfiber storage pouch, a personalized note card with matching envelope, and even a decorative charm. It's one of the few products I've opened where the packaging genuinely feels like part of the gift rather than something that's immediately tossed aside.The knife itself is equally impressive. The feather-inspired aluminum handle is beautifully detailed while keeping the knife lightweight. The blade opens smoothly using the thumb stud, locks securely with a liner lock, and closes easily when you're finished. The blade is extremely sharp, the machining is clean throughout, and the slight contour along the spine provides a comfortable place to rest your thumb for additional control when you're using it.Although the listing markets this primarily as a gift for women and ny wife does absolutely love it. But I find myself reaching for it just as often. Honestly, I think the design appeals to anyone who appreciates a well-made knife.Overall, I would think of this primarily as an elegant everyday utility knife rather than a heavy-duty work or tactical knife. The 440 stainless steel blade should provide good edge retention for everyday cutting tasks like opening packages or general household use, while the overall presentation makes it a conversation piece as much as a tool. This is a very unique knife and a great one to add to your knife collection! It's very sharp right out of the box, which is great. The blade doesn't indicate the type of steel, but from the Amazon ad it says that it's 440 stainless steel. There are actually three types of 440 steel: 440A, 440B, and 440C. I'm guessing this is most likely 440A stainless steel which is commonly used for dive knives and utility knives. 440A has excellent corrosion resistance, is tough and is easy to sharpen. I really do wish the blade was stamped with the type of steel as most knife gurus really want to know as soon as they open it up. The knife folds out smoothly, nice and tight, not wobbly at all. It locks into place with your standard locking mechanism that needs to be pushed to the side to unlock the knife. This knife feels like it's really high quality, nice weight and nicely balanced. I really love the overall color and style of the knife. Usually on every new knife I get I disassemble it and put blue lock tight on the screws because most tend to come apart over time, and many times I'll lose the screws and little pieces, leaving the knife useless. This happens even on really high end knives costing hundreds of dollars. This knife also comes in a really fancy box with ribbons, looks like it was meant for a gift for a girl, but a guy could carry this knife around also as an EDC. Overall I really like this knife and consider it an excellent buy!

I love knives of all kinds…kitchen knives, pocket knives, yard use knives…and have plenty of them. This one is so unusual, I just had to try it out.It is on the hefty side for its size, due to all the metal. Very nice, sharp blade, and cuts beautifully. Due to its weight, it would pull one’s pocket down pretty significantly, if one chose to wear it that way…it is called a pocket knife, after all.It comes in a gorgeous box, decorated for gifting, and needless to say it is aimed at women.I have always been on the tomboy side of the female range, and I love camping and outdoor anything, and as I said earlier, I am quite comfortable with all kinds of knives. So, imagine my surprise when after eagerly opening the box and then getting the knife out and opening the blade (which opens very smoothly, I must say), I could not figure out how to close the blade. The directions were confusing, and I had to resort to watching a video that clearly showed how to release the blade to close it. I have never had that experience with a folding knife, period. To be honest, it was a tad unsettling.However, for me, the big negative is that one’s thumb is directly in the way of the closing blade, once it is released. The release is quite simple once figured out, but incredible care must be taken when closing the blade to ensure no damage to one’s thumb, or any other digit one uses to push the release mechanism. I find it to be the most stupid way to close a knife that I have ever encountered.My concern is for women who may not be as familiar with pocket knives, especially children.I am sure plenty of folks will consider this opinion to be overly alarmist, and obviously, that is their right.It’s really a shame, too, since it is such a well made and gorgeous knife. The handle is kind of ridiculous …I don’t think it would feel very comfortable if one wanted to do some carving on a walking stick, for example.I can’t really recommend this knife. I am just too safety conscious, again, especially regarding young people.

I was looking for a blade for my wife and decided to give this one a try. The shape is unique. The covers are in the designed to look like a feather. To open it has a very large spline with a hole that can be pulled on. The lever at the end is more for closing it. In my video I did attempt to open with it, but it is just too far and not at the right angle to allow it to be flicked open.The blade comes to a point and the edge on it is just OK. Not too bad for a bulk knife, but could use some sharpening to make it nice. The locking mechanism is the type that requires the tab to be pushed out of the way. This is where the lever comes in handy, since you can start the close, then change to pushing the lever to complete the close. This allows your fingers to be away from the blade as it closes. As for carrying, it just sits in a pocket, pocketbook or drawer, there is no clip to clip it to a pocket or inside a purse.The presentation is definitely ready for gifting. It comes in a nice a box, tied shut with a bow, inside is a card with instructions (which is inserted in a envelope with a blank card. Under that is the pouch to store it and the actual knife sitting in its foam cutout.Overall, it is a nice design, and has a good balance. This knife is more for a fashion than for an EDC at the ready knife. A removable clip would have been nice, but they get the extra star for the boxed presentation.

This pocket knife is really pretty and has a cool feather design. The gold handle looks fancy, and I like that it is simple and easy to hold. It feels well made and opens smoothly. When the blade is open, it stays locked in place, which makes it feel sturdy.The gift box is one of my favorite parts. The presentation is over the top and mind blowing. It just makes it feel very fancy.It has a pretty bow on the front and closes with little magnets to keep it closed. Inside, it comes with a soft storage pouch, a note card, an envelope, and other little extras that make it feel like a special experience of opening the box.This knife is nice for everyday jobs like opening boxes, cutting string, or other small tasks. It folds up when you're done, so it is easy to put away and stay safe because at that point it’s enclosed.I think it looks beautiful, feels like good quality, and is a pretty and useful everyday item. I was really happy with how nice everything looked, from the packaging to the knife itself.

This knife is a beautiful creation. It comes in beautiful gift packaging with quite a few extras inside, like a blank gift card + envelope, gift tags and even a super soft, fuzzy little carrying bag. The box has awesome designs in gold flake and the logo on it, and it has a really nice magnetic closure with inset ribbons that tie into a bow. It's just an awesome idea they brought to life here! The knife itself was in a perfect fitting inside the box. It's a beautiful feather designed handle with rose gold scales. It also has a wing or feather shaped blade as well. Kind of a trailing point blade. It's made of 440 stainless steel with a hollow grind. It's not the best steel in the world, but it should be pretty slicey. It sports a liner lock that has really strong lock up. They've done some pretty decent milling on this knife to get that. It's not on bearings but rolls out pretty smooth. It's not necessary anyway because of how you have to open it. It has a front flipper/thumb flipper, but you can't operate this knife with one hand. Well, with some finagling you can, but it's not practical. Blade is centered really well. Overall it's a nice knife and it'll make an absolute beautiful gift with all the extras they sent with it! Wow! This is one beautiful knife. I am a fan of knives from NaturaBlade, so when I saw this mostly decorative but also functional pocket knife, I ordered it immediately! Though I ordered it for myself, this is an incredible idea for a thoughtful gift. With that in mind, this knife arrives with beautiful and thoughtful touches such as decorative paper, gift tags, a greeting card that is blank inside, and a gorgeous gift box! I didn't need any of that, but I certainly appreciated how beautiful it all looked and thought it would be a great gift.As for the knife, it is probably better seen than used, but it is certainly functional and I had no trouble using the grip in my hand. However, it's not exactly practical because, although it is shaped for holding with your hand and fingers, there's no real grip to it. It's all metal, so a sweaty hand could be dangerous. That said, this is mainly meant to be a Memento style knife.As with all knives from this brand I've seen so far, this knife is super high quality and extremely sharp! The point literally feels like the sharpest needle I have ever touched. You don't want to bump into the point of this knife. The blade itself is super sharp as well, and can stand up to sharpening over time.The size of this pocket knife is perfect. Not too big and not too small. The blade lock is safe and the action for opening and closing the blade is simple and also explained with included instructions.Overall, I highly recommend this knife for the excellence of the brand which carries over to the quality of the knife overall, it's beauty, it's fair pricing, and it's giftability. If I could give this knife more than five stars, I would. It's great! Don't hesitate to order this if you are pondering the purchase.
