This is a review of TJOY branded Dusk to Dawn Light Bulbs. They are pleasant appearing vintage style, teardrop-shaped light bulbs. These are ST58 bulbs often called an Edison bulb with an E26 standard base that will fit standard American household sockets.Color temperature is available in 2700K (warm slightly amber), 3000K ("soft" white), or 5000K (aka daylight white). Personally, I prefer 3000K for reading and sufficient "warmth" to make a room cozier than 5000K. Brightness is very good at 800 lumens – like a better brand 60W incandescent bulb. The filaments are composed of very small LEDS linked by a phosphor, so they look like a continuously illuminated strand. They are yellow when off but white when powered.Note: Like almost all dusk to dawn switched lamps, these are not dimmable. The light sensor to turn the lamp ON or OFF is an inconspicuous black bead at the bast of the LEDs. Please see the photos.Usage:These are great for enclosed outdoor lamps, large bulb chandeliers, reading lights in bedroom or living room, and vanity lights. They are much more interesting than typical (A19) frosted bulbs especially if the lamp shade is clear glass. Also much more refined in appearance than corn bulbs with individual LEDs.In summary, these are excellent vintage appearing but low wattage consuming bulbs that are decorative, useful, and will turn off at dawn without your having to flick a switch. Highly recommend.

Set a four Edison style LED bulbs. Real glass, and it’s amazing how they can put the electronics so hidden away and invisible inside the bulb base. There are no unsightly oversized electronics to this bulb it just looks like a standard based Edison style bulb. They are 8 W LED a 60 W equivalent 800 lm and 3000 K soft white. I myself have a preference to the 3000 K warm white or below, I find the higher K lighting with that white to blue tint uncomfortable to the eyes. I myself have a preference to 40 W bulbs around my house, so the 60 W equivalent was brighter than I had expected, but does a great job in lighting especially for the average person. They have that beautiful vintage Edison style look and are just slightly larger than the standard lightbulb, the glass globe being around 3-3/4” they’re not those giant Edison style bulbs. I did test the bulb on a closed in porch so they did come on just slightly earlier and I would say went off just a hair later because of the enclosed porch location. But they worked fantastically I wish I had the chance to try them out in a more outdoor open location.

I was pretty skeptical on these bulbs, particularly on the Automatic Off\On feature. We have 2 fixtures that light our Driveway mounted on either side of the garage door. We usually keep them on all the time as the switch is in the garage and we would probably forget to turn them on at night. We had one bulb burn out and I replaced it with what I had on hand at the time and the color of the new bulb was more yellow than the other bulb but I assume Light is light but apparently they have to match but that wasn't high on my To-Do list and I left them. When we got these bulbs I swapped the old ones so we now have color matched bulbs in the Driveway and all is right in the world. These are plenty bright and the photoelectric cell in them works great. they came on when it began to get dark and when the sun came up off they went. I doubt it will make much difference in our electric bill but Makes us feel a bit Greener. They do work in your inside fixtures as well and seem to detect they are inside and act as a regular bulb.

So I only got these because the sensors attached to the lights currently mounted on each side of my garage don't seem to be working correctly. They were keeping my bulbs on all day long regardless of the sunlight level. Always planned to take them down and replace the sensors but getting these bulbs was an easier solution. They work great and are actually quite bright for 60w equivalents. The sensor works as expected and now I don't need to replace the ones in my fixtures anymore. Would recommend if you have a use case for them.

I have seen dusk to dawn light fixtures but never knew bulbs alone could have this technology until I saw this TJOY 4 Pack Dusk to Dawn ST58 Outdoor Edison Bulbs LED, 3000K. They offer the convenience of automatic on/off capabilities without requiring the purchase of whole new outdoor fixtures. That’s the first of what is great about these bulbs. Here’s more.Positives:- They require no new wiring or complicated installation.- No manual operation is needed after the initial flip of the wall switch to on.- Their sensors detect sunlight and are advanced enough not to be triggered by other light sources.- They are LED and result in energy savings by using only 8W and by automatically switching off when not needed during the day. (I used more energy by forgetting to turn my lights off for days at a time.)- The bulbs are made of real, durable glass.- They feel sturdy and solidly built (i.e. metal base is tightly attached and does not move).- The bulbs have vintage Edison shape and filament.- They are visually attractive and decorative.- They have the common E26 base, so they are compatible with many fixtures.- They have UL and other safety certifications.- Their expected life span to cost comparison makes them a value.Not so positives but not necessarily negatives:- They only provide 3000K warm light (I prefer 4000K or above).- They do not have a well-known and established lightbulb brand.Overall, I am pleased with these bulbs and all the positive qualities they have.

They have a standard E26 base and fit perfectly in my existing light fixture.What I really like is that they look like regular vintage style bulbs rather than having an overly modern appearance. Once installed, they give off a soft, pleasant glow that works beautifully for porch lighting.The built in dusk-to-dawn photocell is especially convenient. I have 5 door entrances to my house and there is an outdoor wall light above each one. Several years ago, I was thinking about upgrading the lights to dusk to dawn lights. However, after I did some research into dusk to dawn lights, I found out that it is very common for the sensors to break, especially in harsh outdoor weather, which is the case for our winters here in New England. And when they do, the whole light stops working since the lights are hardwired that way. And since most of my wall lights are installed on cement walls, they are rather difficult to install. So I didn't want to be left with a dusk to dawn light that would need to be either replaced or fixed after only a few years.So, instead I have been using dusk to dawn bulbs, so I have a good amount of experience with them since I have bought so many different brands. And I have learned that it really does make a difference buying quality bulbs. That's because they usually have better light sensors and weather resistance, so they turn on/off reliably instead of flickering or staying on during the day. They also tend to last longer outdoors through heat, cold, and moisture. And I have bought several TJOY light bulbs in the past on Amazon and they all turned out to be good quality bulbs. Before I ordered my first bulb from them, I checked out their Amazon storefront to make sure they were an established brand, which they were because not only do they specialize only in lighting but many of their products have solid ratings and have been reviewed by hundreds or thousands of customers.And when I tested these bulbs, the dusk to dawn sensor worked perfectly. And I like the Edison shape of the bulbs because several of my outdoor fixtures have clear glass shades, so these Edison bulbs look so much better than standard round bulbs which have a cheap look to them. The light is also a warmer, soft color rather than that really bright white color that you sometimes get with LED lights.$19 for four dusk to dawn bulbs is a really great price, especially since I have already had good experiences with other TJOY bulbs. I am really happy I found the TJOY brand and will definitely buy from them again in the future.
