Anyone who has ever tried feeding a traditional coiled cable through kayak scupper holes or bike spokes knows how frustrating it can get. That constant springing back is a nightmare. This straight cable design completely eliminates that hassle. The 12-foot length is the sweet spot. It gives you plenty of slack to secure two kayaks onto a roof rack or loop through multiple bikes and outdoor gear at once. What really sets it apart is the slim male end (about 10mm)—it slides smoothly through tight spaces without getting snagged or scratching the finish, thanks to the thick protective coating.Setting the 4-digit combo was straightforward, and the dials turn smoothly without binding up. I’ve been using it around saltwater for my paddleboards, and as long as you rinse and lube it occasionally like any marine gear, it holds up great against the elements.

This cable lock is simple to set up and comes with clear, easy-to-follow instructions. The length is one of the best features because it gives you plenty of flexibility for securing not only a bike but also larger items like a kayak.I use it for my bike and appreciate how easy it is to loop around the frame and a secure object. It’s convenient, versatile, and a great option for anyone needing a straightforward cable lock that is easy to use. Very durable.

I do appreciate this locks length of 12 foot and quality for its price point. I also like that this lock can work in places traditional locks fail cuz of the size of the end where the lock connects and locks. You can use this on scooters, kayaks and much more, easily since it dont have that bulky end that's hard to fit in small spaces. The lock code is very easy to change with simple directions that are included. If your familiar with this kind of lock you may even already know how I change it... they all seem to work the same which I also appreciate. This lock does have a nice heft to it, feels sturdy with a nice wrapping that won't scratch our brand new $2500 bikes or weather easily if you live in place like I do with all 4 seasons from -30 in winter to 100 in the summer. Now I need to talk about how I feel about the security of this lock..it falls into the category of you get what you pay for. Is this a terrible lock?? Absolutely not but if your looking for high security in a populated high theft area this isn't the lock for you unless you use other means of security with it like an alarm, security camera , gps or all of the above like I do cuz it most definitely can be cut fairly quickly. I would not leave our $2500 bikes locked up with this unattended overnight where I live cuz it would get stolen(it's happened with a similar lock) we put our bikes in the shed and lock all 4 together with this lock then set our alarms on our bikes and lock the shed(no issues since). I have used this lock on our bikes while we run into a store(i make sure it's on camera) and nobody has attempted to touch them yet. So overall I do think this is a decent lock for its price jst be sure it will work for you and use other means of security with it if your in a high theft area.

I bought this 12 foot cable lock to secure bikes and outdoor gear, and the length makes it easy to loop through more than one item at a time. The thin straight cable design is very practical because it slides through tighter spaces without fighting a coiled shape. The braided steel feels sturdy and durable, and the plastic coating helps protect bike frames and equipment from scratches. I like the resettable combination because it is easy to set and saves me from having to keep track of another key. Overall, this is a convenient, weatherproof, and easy to use cable lock that offers good value for everyday outdoor storage and travel.

This is a good quality, 12' long, weatherproof cable lock for securing items. The cable is flexible and well insulated to prevent the elements from deteriorating it. The plastic combination assembly seems to be well made with the cable ends securely crimped in to the lock. Resetting the combination was easy with the included instructions. Overall, this seems to be a good cable lock for the price and should help protect your item from theft.--------------------------------------------------------------------~ This review is written by a Vine member. I am not an expert on locks, cables or chains but I believe this is the real deal. This Weatherproof Long Straight Cable Lock by HTWXZX is made from high strength braided steel. Then it is covered in nice plastic to keep from scratching your bike or whatever it is attached to. It comes with a four-digit resettable combination lock. As stated in the name it is weatherproof. I think the thing I like the best is the 12-foot length. This gives you more options of where to lock up your bike. This cable can also be used in many different scenarios where the length of the cable could be a factor. I am happy with this purchase

This cable lock is easy to use and has a really good-quality feel and weight. Ease of use is important because this lock is designed to prevent crimes of opportunity. Where something is easy for someone to just pick up and run with it. Because it's lighter, it's more portable, and you're more likely to have it with you. A lock you have with you is better than a heavy lock that sits at home. Where it falls short is that its thin steel cables and these types of locks can be cut in seconds with a wire cutter or bolt cropper. This isn't for high-risk areas, but it's great for securing small accessories when you have to be away for a minute. If the use case fits your needs, then yes, I would recommend this cable lock as it's a good quality lock.
