The last time the batteries died in my doorbell when I went to replace it on the back plate, three out of the four little nubs used to attach were all broken off. After looking at a bunch of different replacements, chose this one based off of the reviews and it fit and works perfectly! Easy to install. I don't have any idea on how long this one will last compared to the factory backplate that came with the doorbell, hopefully longer than that one though! And even if it doesn't, it does come with 2 backplates so you have a backup one just in case.

If you own one of these doorbells, you know they they’re not easy to remove from the wall to replace batteries (which they consume quickly). The doorbell is locked to the backplate via 6 tiny, fragile hooks which easily break while you try to wiggle the doorbell body loose. Ours got obliterated when my wife had to figure out how to do the job while I was out of town… she pulled out instead of up and without the silly ‘key’ which is some anti-theft feature I’d assume.Anyway, let’s talk about this product. It works and gets the job done. Fit and function is exactly like the OEM version. Even better, this purchase included 2 backplates so you’re ready when you break one again. Recommended.
