Great light! It's just the right height, easy to assemble, and does not take up a lot of space. The light settings are an extra treat. I use it in a small room without a ceiling light, and it is certainly adequate lighting for the space. I have a few house plants in that room, and they seemed to love the light as well.

This light works as described and is very bright—I use it for soft, indirect lighting by pointing it at my ceiling. The remote and one-hour auto-off features are both convenient. Assembly is simple if you carefully align the pole grooves; two people make it easier, but I managed alone by steadying the pole on an armchair. If you feel resistance while twisting sections, STOP and realign before continuing. This will result in a stable light pole. My only personal wish is to add an indicator for maximum brightness. However, there are multiple ways to dim or brighten the different shades of light. Overall, I use this great product every day.

This is an excellent, well-designed floor lamp. It has several settings from a warm, orange glow to bright natural daylight. The brightness can be controlled on the lamp itself or via a handy, easy-to-use remote control that works with two AAA batteries. It's a tall 76'' in height, and the neck can be turned, so you don't have to worry about being blinded by the light bulb. Construction seems sturdy and it's an excellent value at under $30. Buy it! I might buy another.Update: I bought a second lamp. They're both fantastic additions to the rooms!

I like to aim it at the ceiling, to lighten the room. As such, I wish it were brighter—for my purposes, significantly brighter (although there's nothing close to this price-range which is bright than this). Don't get me wrong--I like things BRIGHT. My wife would not want it any brighter, and I have to turn it down in the evening in order to please her. There are a number of things I especially like about it:1. In the daytime, especially morning, I like to use it's very white, almost slightly bluish white, light at its brightest setting, because white (and especially the blue light contained in true white light) helps to awake your mind and make it alert.2. Conversely, in the evening, I like to use its opposite setting, almost absent of the blue (which makes light appear white), such that it looks like a medium wattage incandescent light—like 40-60 watt lightbulb, because it gets your brain ready for bed. Too much blue light in the evening can make sleeping more difficult.3. I like the full variability of the light settings from bright to dim, and from bluish-white to yellowish-white (incandescent-type yellow, NOT lemon-yellow—probably something like 3000°K instead of perhaps 6000°K for the over-white—almost bluish white light)—you can put it anywhere in between these shades of white and dim to bright light. It would be nice to go a little dimmer once others go to bed, and I barely need a little light, but that’s not a big deal.4. The goose-neck—when I turn it down on something, THEN the brilliance is great—such as if I need to see something crisp detail.It’s amazing to me to have all this and a remote for the price!
