I got these for our front porch and the impact on the exterior look of the house has been significant. This is a modern-looking, glass-shaded outdoor wall light. It has a temperature setting of 2800° Kelvin. It’s an LED with a large exterior lighting surface. Features include a waterfront front and waterproof front, making it an excellent porch light, garage light, or house front door light. This is a hardwired light.As soon as you open the box, you get to feel for this light. The light is built out of metal and steel and is built to last. It’s gonna last a long time. It’s very well-made, very solid, and very rugged. It gives very good value for the money. It’s IP54 waterproof. Uses only 11 W of power; remember, 9 W is about a 100 W lightbulb, so this is like a 120 W lightbulb. Basically, you’d be comparing it to an old-style lightbulb. It’s about 6 inches wide and 6 inches deep. The manufacturer suggests installation is easy.As with all electrical installations, I always offer several caveats. The first is to make absolutely certain that you’ve turned off the power to the junction box you’re about to begin working on. The second thing you should do is go to that junction box with an electrical tester or voltage meter and test each and every wire in the box to make sure you didn’t turn off the circuit at the breaker. I would personally seriously consider using a fixture like this on my front door. I need two of them to do that or on my back porch and maybe only use one. I’m not sure.
