Bought this for use in building out chicken run (pictured). We used it on the coop itself in triangular vents above the nesting box and on opposite wall to allow for cross breezes on hot summer days. We also used it in panels & doors all around underneath the coop and where the coop was attached to the former-trampoline-turned-chicken run. The hardware cloth was also used around the bottom part of the trampoline frame to "wall in" the run. It worked beautifully and thus far and provided all the necessary protection for our backyard flock.

Decent hardware cloth for coops and runs. Great value. Would recommend for poultry.

Great value and perfect to put over a metal frame instead of the chicken wire that came with it. The black coating has been solid so far and hasn't come off during installation nor use as of yet. It is a hard-to-find size both in the 1/2 inch holes (big enough to let in lots of air and light, but small enough to keep all but the smallest snakes out, but one and half of these will do a 10x20x6 foot enclosure.

So I was iffy about buying these because the reviews are so mixed. I built a pretty big chicken run for my coop and so far this has worked really well for us. I have seen no flaking of the black coating, it's not flimsy to the point if ur using wire snips be prepared for ur hands to hurt cause it takes some effort. The black let's me see the chickens so we'll that sometimes I think that a few have escaped (they never get out tho with this hardware). If ur iffy about buying it don't be because it's one of the best items I have got for my chickens. It arrived on time and was nicely packaged

Really happy to find this length and width to use on my balcony. It's tall enough to keep my small dogs from jumping through the fence, and just long enough to fit around the balcony. Other rolls at retail stores were twice the length and I didn't want to have that much extra lying around unused. It's rolled pretty tight, so it's easier to install with two people, but you can do it yourself with a little work. The thickness is good - did not hurt my hands during installation and does not cut the dogs' noses or anything. Haven't had any trouble with rust or pieces coming apart. Very happy with this.
