Sturdy vent deflector

[Size Name: 1 Pack]
This vent deflector is made of nice strong metal and has good paint or powder coating to protect it. There are magnets on the bottom to help keep it anchored over the vent. I won't waste money on the plastic ones anymore. It slides easily to adjust to the size you need. Great product.

A good adjustable deflector that was easy to install.

[Size Name: 1 Pack]
I have several vents that are under side boards, desks and such. This Metal Air Vent Deflector Has been a great addition to the house. A little expensive for my liking, however it is a great addition. Our living room has a whole bunch of kids toys splayed about as well as the fish tank and cabinet for the audio-visual set up. This Adjustable Magnetic Air Vent Deflector really helps save the use of one of these air vents as it was useless before we installed the vent deflector. The metal is strong though I do not need to worry about stepping on it where it was placed. The installation was so easy I had my 10-year old install it, teaching him a few things about air flow and such. I try and have my kids do a lot of the simple things like this and other things like changing out wall sockets and switches etc., to teach them how things work. They will be well prepared for life on their own by the time they leave home. :O) (And with 14 of them, can't come too soon :O) Ha Ha Ha. Seriously though, I think these sorts of things can do nothing but help a kid get ready for the world after they move out. Bottom line on this deflector is that it was easy to install and works like a charm. I have no issue at all in recommending it to anyone!!!

Works great on my pool heater!

[Size Name: 1 Pack]
Purchased this to divert the heat from my pool heater vent away from the building. Its great that this defector is both magnetic as well as screw in. Magnet was all I needed. It fit my needs perfectly.

A good solution for optimizing your home's airflow.A good solution for optimizing your home's air...

Whether you need to push air out from under a low-clearance couch or redirect a draft that blows directly onto your favorite chair, the Matework Metal Air Vent Deflector is a major upgrade over the brittle plastic deflectors that constantly crack or slide out of place. Here is a quick breakdown of how it holds up:Built Like a Tank: Unlike standard plastic deflectors that warp under high heat or shatter if accidentally stepped on, this is made of heavy-duty, heat-resistant metal. It feels incredibly durable and easily handles both blasting central heat and freezing AC.Stays Exactly Where You Put It: It features strong built-in magnets that snap firmly onto standard steel floor or wall registers. If you have non-magnetic vents or want a permanent, high-traffic install, Matework also includes mounting screws in the pack.Highly Adjustable: The telescoping design smoothly expands from 8 to 14 inches, making it incredibly versatile for standard-sized HVAC vents throughout the house.Sleek, Low-Profile Look: The matte black finish gives it a clean, modern aesthetic that blends into most rooms seamlessly, rather than looking like a cheap piece of clear plastic taped to your floor.

Quick, easy fix for a lot of bad airflow problemsQuick, easy fix for a lot of bad airflow problems

[Size Name: 1 Pack, Size Name: 1 Pack]
The bottom line on this Matework vent deflector is that it's a very good fix for a lot of quirky or otherwise unworkable airflow situations.I recently moved into an older home that had been completely renovated. I guess because of the home's age, there were limited options for HVAC vent placement. Our guest bedroom vent, for example, is covered by the only practical place to put the bed. The living room vent is behind the couch unless/until we get different furniture. And two bathroom vents are in the floor underneath vanities.I found the Matework deflector after I'd already purchased and installed a super-long-reach deflector for under the guest bed. Based on that experience, I knew a magnetically attached deflector would probably work well for the impossible-to-reach vents under the vanities. My main concern was whether the magnets would actually be strong enough to hold it securely in place, both during installation and long-term, without sliding around unnoticed and blocking airflow.Since it was a newer product, there weren't any reviews yet. But after checking the brand's storefront and seeing they had a very good track record, I was confident about choosing this deflector.Once I received and examined the deflector, I was about as happy as you can get over a practical and TBH pretty unexciting product. The deflector has a substantial feel to it. The adjustable halves slide smoothly, and there were no bumps, burrs, or jagged edges anywhere. I tested the magnets on a nearby vent cover before moving to the under-vanity installation. Grip was excellent. The first couple of photos are from that test vent. The last one — the ugly photo — is where the deflector now lives: underneath the vanity in our central bathroom. The clearance under that vanity is 3 3/8", which was enough room to accommodate the deflector and get my arm underneath and to the back to position it. The magnets made installation easy. Honestly, screw attachment would have been basically impossible in that location anyway.Once installed, the deflector felt very securely attached. I don't think it's going to shift out of place unless it gets kicked or hit with some force, which realistically isn't going to happen under that vanity. The AC kicked on right after I added the deflector, and for the first time ever I felt air flow in that bathroom.I'm obviously happy, and I'm giving the product a 5-star review (which I don't often do). But there are definitely situations this deflector won't solve. Spaces without enough clearance for its 2.6" height, vents outside the adjustable size range, or situations where you need to redirect air sideways or far enough to clear a large obstruction. My house actually has four problem vents, and two of them fall into those categories. But the Matework deflector solved one problem completely, and now I know it'll work for the other compatible vent too.Looking around Amazon, there doesn't really seem to be anything else quite like this deflector. Similar products are either more expensive or require replacing the entire vent. Given that, and everything else noted above, if you want a durable forward-flow deflector with the added bonus of a no-hassle magnetic installation, I think this is a good value at its current price ($21.99 US).
