Very well made- this is one serious extension cord

[Size: 25FT]
I have a NEMA 6-50R outlet outside the workshop, but there are times that I need more reach for my welder. That’s where this cord comes in, an additional 25 feet of serious 6 gauge copper. No worries about voltage drop even when the welder is cranked all the way up.One of the great features of this cord is the SOOW jacket. Not only does it provide protection against oil, etc, it will stay flexible when the weather turns cold. Despite the cord’s thickness, it lays down neatly on the ground, and it is easy to coil back up. The plug and receptacle ends are also of excellent build. The prongs on the plug end are solidly embedded, and the receptacle contacts are have a strong, positive grip. The handle on the plug makes it easy to grip even with gloves on.Excellent high current extension cord, recommended.

Seriously Heavy-Duty Extension Cord

[Size: 15FT]
This is not a typical household extension cord. It's a 6 AWG, 50-amp cable with NEMA 6-50 connections, and everything about it feels appropriately heavy-duty. The cable is thick, substantial, and clearly intended for high-current equipment like welders rather than general-purpose use.The 15-foot length gives a useful amount of extra reach without leaving a ridiculous amount of heavy cable to deal with. I also appreciate the molded handles on the connectors. With a cord this thick and heavy, having something substantial to grip when connecting and disconnecting it makes a real difference. The LED power indicator on the female end is another simple but useful feature because you can immediately see when the cord is energized. The jacket feels durable but still has enough flexibility to coil for storage. At nearly 11 pounds, though, don't expect this to handle anything like a normal extension cord. The weight and stiffness are simply part of dealing with 6-gauge cable. It's also ETL listed, which is particularly important to me for something designed to carry up to 50 amps. The 6 AWG copper conductors, heavy jacket, sturdy molded connections, and overall construction all inspire confidence. At $78.99, this isn't cheap, but I wouldn't want a bargain-basement extension cord between a 50-amp receptacle and an expensive welder. For anyone who specifically needs a NEMA 6-50P to 6-50R extension, this feels appropriately built for the job.

Stellar Specs In 15 Foot CordStellar Specs In 15 Foot Cord

[Size: 15FT, Size: 15FT]
This extension cord for my new TIG welder exceeded all my expectations and is very useful beyond just my welding unit. The length is really appreciated as it allows me to step outside my shop to work on some larger projects. I can't find anything negative about this power cord and heartily recommend it.

Durable and great valueDurable and great value

[Size: 15FT, Size: 15FT]
This 6 AWG welder extension cord is 15 feet long and outdoor rated. It has NEMA 6-50 plug/outlet on it which matches my plug for my Lincoln Electric Welder. This gives me some positioning room in my shop to operate my welder in locations that are further away from a few feet from my NEMA 6-50 wall outlet. The cord seems to be very durable and heavy duty and pretty flexible taking into account how thick it is. It comes with a carrying handle and both the plug and receptacle ends of the extension cord have handles which make it much easier to plug and unplug these thick heavy plug connections. This extension cord gives me great freedom to move my welder to my project instead of trying to move my project to the welder location and it comes at a great value for the money to boot!

Genuine flexible SOOW cord for your welderGenuine flexible SOOW cord for your welder

[Size: 15FT, Size: 15FT]
This is a splendid cord for a welder extension that needs 50 amps at 240 volts, two hots and a ground (no neutral). My older stick welding rig needed an extension to get to where I could use it more comfortably and this cord is perfect for the job. The plug ends orient so that you get the maximum length, the molded in handles give you plenty of control and still keeps your fingers away from the plug prongs, and the SOOW cord is very flexible. SOOW cord is made for uses like extensions where it needs to have little to no coil memory, can handle mild abrasions, resists oil and solvents exposure, and needs to be kink free. The over-molded ends are securely affixed and bonded to the insulation so they will have a long service life even with a lot of yanking and pulling. The receptacle end has strong spring action internals that grip an inserted plug securely. The only gripe I found was the hanging strap is pretty close to useless as it is prone to popping open under load. An excellent extension for the money, and likely a long life utility cord.

Weld-made, Heavy-Duty 250VAC-50A 3-Wire Extension Cord for Welders & EV ChargersWeld-made, Heavy-...

[Size: 15FT, Size: 15FT]
The islewire 6AWG 250V Welder Extension Cord is heavy duty, fabricated from SOOW electrical cord (S = heavy-duty 600V service cord, first O = oil-resistant insulation, second O = oil-resistant jacket, and W = weather and water resistant). The cord ends (plug and receptacle) are three-pin NEMA 6-50 style (250VAC style with two hot leads and one ground – no neutral) typical of many 250VAC welders and some EV chargers. In my garage I installed a couple NEMA 14-50 (125/250VAC) outlets (which includes a neutral pin) and use a plug adapter to use NEMA 6-50 plugs and cords. The 15-ft length is ample to reach most points in my 4-bay garage from my centrally located outlets. The outer jacket of the cord is almost 1-inch in diameter. It looks more like a 15-foot coil of heavy-duty 5/8” heater hose with plug ends. A couple things standout – the green power indicator on the receptacle end and both cord ends include finger pulls. As mentioned, it’s heavy-duty, but it’s also heavy because of the robust construction. The blades and sockets are nicely made and firmly embedded in the body of the cord ends. With a little care, this should be a “lifetime” extension cord. A cord wrap/hanger is included. The quality of all aspects of the extension cord justifies its price point.

BeefyBeefy

[Size: 15FT, Size: 15FT]
This is one thick cord! I have a couple of welder extension cords in order to extend my work range and am well aware of voltage drop, wire gauge, etc.Specs on this are .3v at 50A (extreme) and I measured no resistance (the leads for my meter had more resistance). So, I feel completely comfortable using this and a few tied together with no problem. The handle to pull out of the outlet is a nice touch as I always worry my fingers slip.On the downside, the carry loop doesn't stay locked in when you release tension on it - but no biggie.Great cable overall.
