The ultra-thin, flat design is what I like most about this cable. At only 1.2mm thick, it fits easily into tight spaces and is much easier to route behind furniture, along walls, or through a compact setup than a bulky round power cord. Once positioned, it stays neatly in place and helps create a cleaner, more stable installation without a lot of cable getting in the way.The 9.84-foot length is also a good fit for my needs. It provides plenty of additional reach without leaving an excessive amount of extra cable to manage. That makes it practical for both permanent installations and setups where equipment may need to be moved around.Quality is good for such a thin cable and compatible with my Starlink Mini. The 20AWG construction gives it a more substantial, purpose-built feel than I expected from the low-profile design, while still remaining flexible and easy to handle.Portability is another advantage. The flat construction and retractable design make the cable easier to manage, store, and carry, particularly for a portable setup where I don't want a bulky cord taking up unnecessary space. For the money, I think the overall combination of quality, useful length, secure fit, portability, and convenient cable management offers good value. It's especially useful when keeping an installation neat and compact is just as important as extending the connection.

Right away, I was impressed at how compact and light this unit is. It seems to have a great design and a good look to it as well.I was able to put it into operation shortly after receiving it in the mail. I used it in conjunction with a voltage converter which was attached to a LiFePo4 battery. This makes the device perfect for its intended purpose of portable operations. This retractable cable set up is much more simple and easy to handle than the standard cabling that ships with the dish. The dish side of the cable was able to route into the hole on the mount and dangle unobtrusively from the back of the dish while on a tripod. My favorite part about the retractable mechanism, is that it allows me to adjust the distance between the battery and the dish as I need to. This first deployment had the battery just under the dish, and because I was able to shorten the length, I did not have to deal with a bunch of extra cable. All in all, I really like this adjustable length cable.

This retractable cable is a useful accessory when the standard Starlink Mini power cable is not long enough for the installation. The 16.4-foot length provides plenty of extra reach for a vehicle, RV, campsite, or temporary outdoor setup. The flat design is easier to route through tight spaces than a thick round cable. I also like the retractable design because it keeps the extra cable from becoming a tangled mess when it is not being used. The connectors fit securely and the cable feels reasonably well constructed. It is especially convenient for mobile setups where cable management matters. The main limitation is that compatibility needs to be verified carefully before connecting it to the Starlink Mini. Power cables are not something I would substitute based only on connector appearance. The 20AWG conductors are appropriate for the intended application, but the actual power requirements and cable length still matter. The waterproof construction is useful for outdoor installations, although I would still protect the connections from prolonged exposure whenever possible. Overall, this is a practical extension cable that adds flexibility without taking up much storage space. It is a worthwhile accessory if you need additional reach for a compatible Starlink Mini setup.

This 16.4-foot retractable power cable is a practical accessory for Starlink Mini users who want a cleaner, more organized setup at home or on the road. The auto-retractable design helps keep extra cable from becoming tangled, while the 5-meter length provides plenty of reach for trucks, camping setups, rooftops, and travel use.I especially like the compact storage design because it makes packing and setup much easier. The 20AWG construction feels well suited for regular power use, and the waterproof design adds extra versatility for outdoor and mobile installations.Pros:* 16.4-foot / 5-meter cable provides generous reach* Auto-retractable design helps reduce tangles and clutter* Compatible with Starlink Mini power setups* 20AWG construction for dependable everyday use* Waterproof design is useful for outdoor setups* Great for trucks, camping, travel, and rooftop installations* Easy to store when not in useCons:* Retractable housing adds a little bulk compared with a standard cable* Best results depend on proper routing and avoiding excessive tensionFinal Thoughts:Overall, this retractable Starlink Mini power cable is a convenient upgrade for anyone who travels or frequently changes their setup. The long reach, tidy retractable design, and outdoor-friendly construction make it especially useful for mobile internet setups.

It works great

This Starlink Mini Retractable Cable unit is a great idea. I hate having to coil up and uncoil traditional cables. This unit is compact and unwinds and winds back up in seconds. The flat cable also allows you to feed it through car windows and doors. The mechanism for winding and unwinding worked smoothly and without any issues as long as you pull on both ends of the cable. The connectors on each end of the cable seemed to connect and seal well. The cable was able to supply sufficient power to my Starlink Mini and I achieved maximum speeds. The unit looks to be well made. The ad states that it is waterproof. I can see the cable ends being waterproof, but not sure about the reel part of the unit.

I got the Hatalkin retractable Starlink Mini cable in the 3-meter length to use in my car with the Mini on the dash. It is designed with two standard Mini male plugs attached to flat cabling that pull out simultaneously from a central small plastic spring device. You do have to pull a little bit on both sides to keep the cabling coming out the same length. It has "stops" every couple of inches to control extended length. Retracting is initiated by pulling slightly and then releasing and both sides retract simultaneously via an internal spring .I like the flat cable design and the retractable length adjusts well between the Mini and the car 12-volt outlet. The flat cabling makes it easy to route the cable into the cracks around the dash. However, the design with the central spring device doesn't fit well on the dash and it moves around when driving, pulling out the cabling. The flat cabling design also makes it harder to remove the tight fitting plugs from the Mini and the power supply and may wear over time, making them less durable. The cabling should be waterproof, but I am also concerned whether the spring device would withstand weather or long exposure to sunlight in the car. Overall a decent design to shorten Mini cabling for a good price with some limitations that you should understand.

I have used these retractable cables in the past for other things. USB. Ethernet. Audio cables. They are super handy. So when I saw this retractable Starlink Mini power cable, I had to try it. I use my Mini on the dashboard of my truck sometimes, and the stock power cable is ridiculously long. This one is great. Just pull out what you need, and you’re set. The retraction function works well. The mechanism is sturdy. And the cable is the flat variety, which is handy. When done, just give both ends a little tug, and the spring loaded mechanism rolls it up. It stows compactly. My only negative is the cost. This thing is a tad bit on the expensive side. Otherwise it’s great so far.
