Better Safe Than Sorry for Electronics Repairs

[Color: Gray (6 Pairs), Size: Large (9)]
We purchased these anti-static gloves as a precaution while my husband replaced the heat sink in a gaming system. I ordered a size Large, and they fit his hands well without getting in the way while he worked. He was able to manipulate small screws and use his tools without any problems while wearing the gloves. Most importantly, the gaming system worked after he opened it up, replaced the heat sink, and put everything back together—so I'm counting the entire operation as a win!I also appreciate getting six pairs in the package. If a pair gets dirty or contaminated with something during a repair, you can simply switch to a clean pair instead of wondering whether you should keep working with them. For me, having backups takes a little anxiety out of working around electronic components.Would I buy them again? Yes. If we needed anti-static gloves for another electronics repair, I would order these again. Better safe than sorry when you're opening up an expensive device.Who should get them? I would recommend these for DIYers working on computers, gaming systems, or other electronics who want an additional precaution against static while still being able to handle small screws and tools comfortably.

Quality ESD Gloves for Electronics WorkQuality ESD Gloves for Electronics Work

[Color: Gray (6 Pairs), Size: Large (9), Color: Gray (6 Pairs), Size: Large (9)]
antools’s “Nylon ESD Anti-Static Gloves” are a mix of nylon and carbon fiber threads designed to make handling electronics safer. The box contains twelve gloves, six pairs, and before using them I machine washed them in a lingerie bag and set them flat to dry. Overall I like the quality of the gloves: they’re relatively tight and the fingers have a reinforced area for extra grip and safety from through-hole components and sharp solder points while reducing the overall feel you get when handling very small components directly. The carbon fiber helps to move and dissipate static electricity although these aren’t intended to replace a grounding strap. Size-wise I have large hands and debated on Large or X-Large size and went with the smaller Large size. Perhaps the XL would’ve been better but for fine work I appreciate the tightness of the Large gloves, and being mostly nylon they’ll stretch quite a bit. Overall I look forward to using these more: For general electronics use, soldering, and so on, they’re comfortable and for $9.99, very affordable also.

Large? I don't think so . . .

[Color: Gray (6 Pairs), Size: Large (9)]
be wary of sizing. To my surprise - I have small hands, and fortunately for me, these size Large fit mine perfectly! I do custom framing of art works and static is the beast that can ruin a framed piece; anything I can do to cut back the static when working is a big plus. These were priced well too - less than two dollars a pair.

FitI've used these gloves while working on electronics, and they fit comfortably without feeling overly loose. The nylon material has enough flexibility to make handling smaller components easy.ComfortThey're lightweight and breathable enough for longer projects. My hands don't feel overly restricted, which is helpful when doing more detailed work.QualityThe material and stitching feel well made for this type of glove. After several uses, they've maintained their shape and haven't developed noticeable fraying.DexterityI can still handle screws, connectors, circuit boards, and other small parts without constantly needing to remove the gloves. The thin construction provides a good balance between coverage and finger control.ESD ProtectionI like having an added layer of ESD protection when handling electronics and sensitive components. They're a useful addition to my workbench for PC builds, repairs, and other electronics projects.Value for MoneyFor a reusable pair of ESD gloves, I think they offer good value. They're comfortable, practical, and easy to keep with my electronics tools.Overall, I've been happy with these antools ESD gloves. They're lightweight, comfortable, and provide the dexterity I need when working with electronics.

Review of antools 6-Pair Nylon ESD Anti-Static Gloves, Large:I've been working in computer design, testing and assembly for several decades and I rarely use antistatic gloves or grounding straps. They're not really needed if you are careful. Always touch a ground to discharge before you touch any electronic part. Don't wear clothes that generate static electricity because just moving your arms around can charge you up. Never hand a part directly between two people (put it down). If humidity is low, you probably need a grounding strap.I ordered these gloves primarily to protect my fingers from the sharp leads poking through circuit boards which can really tear up your skin. These gloves are not fully conductive, but more dissipative so any static charge will not spark but dissipate. In that sense they will be helpful, but they do not alleviate the need to keep yourself discharged with a grounding strap or regularly touching a ground.I have normal sized hands in normal proportions. I ordered large and they fit fairly well, but the palm area is not quite large enough so the sleeve extends a little into my palm. However, the fingers do fit snuggly so a larger size would probably make the fingers loose.I give it 5 stars because they are a good value at $10 for 6 pairs.

Perfect for working on electronics

[Color: Gray (6 Pairs), Size: Large (9)]
You get 6 pairs of anti-static gloves in this kit. Each glove is made from thin nylon material with carbon fiber threads interwoven in the material. The carbon fiber is a conductor that allows static electricity to dissipate rather than be passed through. This is essential when working with electronic equipment as static can destroy sensitive circuitry and chips. The fingertips allow you to manipulate a cellphone screen, so you do not have to take off the gloves to access your mobile device. The stitching is excellent; there are no loose threads, and the seams are all closed tightly, the base of the wrist has a black edging. The wrist has elastic that keeps the gloves in place. The material is a light gray, and the coating on the fingertips provide extra grip. The material is thin and allows plenty of tactile feedback when handling small or fragile items.I ordered the large size, and they fit my hands very well, so the sizing seems to be accurate. The gloves are washable as long as you do not wash in hot or very warm water. The price is excellent and I would definitely recommend these.

Great fit with excellent dexterity

[Color: Gray (6 Pairs), Size: Large (9)]
These gloves are exactly what I was looking for when working on electronics. They fit snugly without feeling overly restrictive, which is important when dealing with small components and delicate parts. Even with the gloves on, I can still feel what I'm working on very well and don't lose much dexterity. One feature I really appreciate is that I can still use touchscreen devices while wearing them. That makes it much more convenient when I need to check information on my phone or use a touchscreen without constantly taking the gloves off and putting them back on.The material feels lightweight and comfortable, and the snug fit helps keep the gloves from bunching up or getting in the way while doing detailed work. For electronics and other precision tasks where you want anti-static protection but still need to maintain a good sense of touch, these work extremely well.Overall, a great combination of comfort, fit, sensitivity, and functionality. Definitely a five-star purchase!

Great to keep finger oils off of electronics, doesn't replace a wriststrap however

[Color: Gray (6 Pairs), Size: Large (9)]
These anti-static gloves are great to use while handling static-sensitive parts inside a computer. Many other types of gloves gloves might generate extra static or have powders embedded which could damage the equipment, even while using a wrist-strap grounding device. With these, you can protect your electronics from static and still avoid depositing skin oils on their internal parts.ANSI standards for electro-static discharge still require that a grounded wrist-strap be used even with gloves such as these, and the wrist strap should touching the skin, not even gloves that have ESD protection. So these gloves cannot replace a wrist strap grounding system, but are very effective at keeping skin oils off of electronics and don't add any extra static into the servicing process.
