This purchase includes the light, all mounting hardware, some white cloth gloves (not sure what these are for), an extra set of thumb nuts, and installation instructions. This is a solid light fixture and the size is ideal for smaller signs. It worked well with a LED standard bulb with E26 base as you can see in one of my photos. The light's neck is firmly attached to the circular mounting plate and has no wiggle, which is a good sign for long-term durability. Everything about this, including the paint job seem very high quality.I ran a test by plugging this in without mounting and it worked just fine. My only concern is the lack of UL listing or at least and ETL listing. That is important for electrical safety and fire safety. I didn't realize it lacked those when I got this. It is worth considering UL listed or ETL listed fixtures for installation in the U.S.

We need a proper barn light over the main door of our small horse barn, one that can take real weather and dust, and this is what I've picked out. The heavy metal shade and deep cone look like they'll keep the bulb dry and aimed down where we need it for those late-night feedings and checks. The matte black should fit the barn's board-and-batten walls perfectly. Everything about it reads like a fixture that'll last for years, which is exactly what a working barn demands.

I'm not the handiest person, so the main thing I check before buying any fixture is how hard it'll be to install. From the product photos the mounting bracket lines up with a standard junction box, The information mentioned that it only takes 30 minutes to install, which gives me confidence. The gooseneck arm looks like it has real weight to it rather than that flimsy feel you get with cheap fixtures. I'm planning to replace the plain floodlight on my porch with this — it should be a nice upgrade without needing an electrician.

We're in the middle of renovating our farmhouse and I've been deciding what to put on either side of the front door. This farmhouse gooseneck light is the front-runner. The matte black against our white board-and-batten siding is going to be that classic farmhouse contrast I've been picturing.
