Auger Drill Bit Set for Woodworking

These are a really nice set of drill bits. The threading is nice and wide, which does a good job pulling the wood out as you're drilling instead of everything getting packed into the hole. We used them while building our deck, including drilling for lag bolts, and they went through the wood easily with my regular Ryobi drill. Nothing special needed.I also really like the little wooden case. Each spot is labeled with the bit size, although some of the larger labels are a little smudged. That's really not a big deal because the size is also engraved directly on each bit, so even if you don't keep the case you'll still know what you've got.They're decently long, you get a good range of sizes, they fit my standard drill with no issues, and the case keeps everything together instead of having random drill bits floating around my toolbox. We've already put them to work on an actual project and they did exactly what I needed them to do.

Mine was damaged while shipping but I was able to snap back into place.The whole set weighs about 5lbs.The bit portion is hexagonal and fits nice into your drill.Great set and great value.

The auger bit set arrived in good condition in a nicely fitted wooden case. The bits are 9" long as advertised, they're all good and sharp and well finished. It's a nice looking set of bits, better than expected. All of the bits ran true with mimimal runout.To test them out I drilled through pressure treated pine and poplar with each bit, and all of the bits performed well. The diameter of the drilled holes varied, with the 1/4 and 5/16" bits a little undersized by .02" or so, while the 3/8 and 1/2" bits were almost perfect, and the 5/8 and 1" bit again just slightly undersized. The threaded leads on each bit are well formed, and I had no issue with them tearing out which was surprising as the bits cut very aggressively and will throw out some very thick chips.I'm pretty happy with the set. They're good quality bits and a good value for the price.

These 9-in Longwood Auto drills are a good addition to your toolbox if you have an appropriate drill rig that will fit this size or adapters. Very sturdy and durable good quality Steel was used to machine the bits. Very sharp inclines for quick and easy debris removal while drilling. The threaded sharp tip functions well to effectively start your bit into wood without any walking. Very well designed to quickly drill into wood. The light colored wooden case with cutouts to hold the bits is a good addition to be able to keep these bits together and protected when not in use. Good value for the money if you need this type of drill bit.

Spur cutting edge avoids wood splitting. Large spiral flutes remove chips quickly. I get smooth round holes when drilling hardwood and plywood.
