The brightness on these lights is absolutely insane so if you're looking for something to light up dark corners of your home, these will work perfectly. The bulbs get warm very quickly so they probably shouldn't stay on for extended periods of time. I would definitely recommend that these be used to light up walls or dark corners because the light beaming up from the floor is very harsh in any other open areas.

I've always wanted corner floor lights to place near a tall plant. While I don't have a tall plant yet, I like the look of these lights. It comes with two small halogen lamps that happen to be very bright. (Be careful not to look at them when turning on the first time - it's blinding 💡🔅). The 5.9' cord is standard length for floor lamps and more than I need for the corner. The foot switch is especially convenient. I tested it and it works great. Nice easy control.The only thing I don't care for is its lightweight. But I'm just being nitpicky because you can't really knock these over - they stay put, though it can easily be pushed around. Still, at $27.99, this is a good quality product sold at an affordable price. It looks quite nice lighting a dark corner of my living room space. Will look even better once I get that plant. Definitely check it out.

These uplights are really nice. The fixtures have a high-end look and feel, much better than I expected at this price. **It unscrews to put the bulb inTerrific little uplights- metal shell, very nice, and a step clicker switch so you don't have to crawl on the floor to turn it on/off. Comes with special bulbs, you drop the prongs into the holes and slightly twist to lock them in. ** The metal can unscrews from the base so you can put the bulb in, otherwise it's impossible.** They are very bright with a nice warm tone, the beveled can allows you to direct the light area a little.

the product photos of these lights are pretty accurate and similar to what i see when i illuminate my art or corners.i'm deducting a star for a couple reasons - it's perhaps slightly pricey for the quality. granted from a distance you cannot tell this is a relatively cheap light, but up close you can see scuff marks on the aluminum can, and everything is just a little too lightweight.this is a real issue for the footswitch and the cans - they are very easily jostled. the bent cable will turn the can or footswitch, so its pretty hard to keep the cabling neat without using some tape or other way of securing the cable.the cans are also easily moved, so a cat walking by or just an accidental touch will throw your lighting off. finally even at 7W these bulbs do emit quite a bit of heat. i'd keep it away from your art if possible.
