This is practically on-demand hot water that does minimal damage to your wall, so it's a no-brainer for a cramped utility closet setup. It mounted right where my old tank had been, and simply freeing up the space it had previously occupied was enough to finally build the shelves I'd been lacking. It certainly performed as well as its size promises, too. Hot water arrived within seconds, with no dawdling waiting time on a tank. It was strong for my showers, and the stream never lost its heat or wavered in temperature.Everything is so user-friendly; it doesn’t get complicated or push too many buttons. The output definitely rivals things above its price point. The casing looks quite sleek as well. I don't know why I didn't make this switch a long time ago.

Just got this unit delivered last week and did the install myself over the weekend. I won't lie—running a dedicated 60A breaker with 8 AWG wire took some effort, but this Westinghouse tankless water heater electric performs exactly as advertised once it's up. The wall-mountable design freed up so much floor space in my cramped laundry room. The 1/2" NPT connections lined up perfectly with my existing plumbing, making the swap much smoother than I expected. As long as you follow the circuit requirements for this electric tankless water heater, it runs stable—no tripped breakers, no flickering lights. For a brand-new model that just dropped last month, I'm impressed with how installation-friendly it is.

This Westinghouse 14kW tankless water heater is a great choice for targeted point of use setups or smaller residential hot water demands. The physical footprint is surprisingly compact at under 13 inches tall, mounting flat against the wall and freeing up valuable floor space. Just make sure your electrical panel is prepped for it, as it requires a dedicated 60A double pole breaker wired with 6 AWG cable at 240V alongside standard 1/2 inch NPT plumbing connections.Performance wise, water heating is virtually instantaneous. It starts warming within seconds of opening a faucet and maintains consistent temperature without noticeable fluctuations. With a max output of around 3.4 GPM, it easily handles two fixtures simultaneously like a bathroom sink and a low flow shower head provided incoming ground water temps are moderate. The smart features and app integration add a lot of convenience. Adjusting temperature setpoints directly from a phone or smart home voice assistant is quick and responsive, and the built in memory restores your preferred settings automatically if power cuts out. With its solid ETL safety ratings and accessible inlet filter for quick sediment maintenance, it offers great value and reliable performance.

The old tank water heater had been failing to keep up with back-to-back morning showers for two winters, and replacing it with this Westinghouse 14kW tankless unit has made that a problem that no longer exists in the house. The on demand operation delivers consistent hot water regardless of how many people shower consecutively, and the 14kW output provides enough capacity for simultaneous draws from multiple fixtures without the temperature drop that undersized tankless units produce under that kind of load. WiFi connectivity lets me monitor usage and adjust settings remotely without being in the utility room to make changes.ETL certification provides confidence that the safety and performance standards have been independently verified rather than self-reported, which matters for a 240V appliance handling water in a home environment. The compact gray housing recovered meaningful floor space compared to the tank it replaced and the installation footprint is clean on the wall without projecting into the room. Hot water quality has been consistent and immediate every morning since installation. Has made one of the most noticeable quality of life improvements in the house in years.

Excellent Point-of-Use Tankless Water HeaterWe have a bathroom at the opposite end of the house from our main water heater. It takes a long time for hot water to reach the sink, and by the time it gets there it has already lost some heat. This unit was a great solution as an under-sink installation to boost both the shower and sink by heating the water much closer to where it's needed. This is not a trivial installation, though. In our case it required opening drywall to access the shower plumbing, and because this is a 14kW unit it also required a dedicated 240V, 60-amp circuit run with 6 AWG wire. The wiring alone cost $400. Depending on your home's layout, running a new circuit can be a significant project. I'd recommend talking with an electrician before purchasing to verify your electrical service has the capacity and to estimate the installation cost. The heater itself is compact, well built, and has some thoughtful features like the removable inlet filter for maintenance. The Wi-Fi functionality is a nice bonus, but the biggest advantage is having hot water where you need it instead of waiting for it to travel across the house. For $284.99 (price at time of order), I think it's a good value as long as it's sized appropriately for the application and you understand the installation requirements.Once installed it works amazing. Instant hot water is a game changer for a quick face or hand wash where we used to wait 30 seconds.

I really wanted to install this water heater, but my electrician reviewed the power box and determined I did not have enough power to run this model. I had to return this heater and buy a smaller one. I shopped for this and felt it was perfect but did not realize the amps needed. I never even opened the box.

This was installed in the basement underneath of my kitchen sink to use as a "booster" to my normal tanked electric hot water heater. This model appealed to me because I can set it on my phone and adjust the temperature on the fly. I did manage to DIY an install of this, but I am a handyman with a fair amount of tools and a little bit of experience with plumbing and electrical work and even I really was thinking I should have called a professional halfway thru. This is not a simple install. I would not advise just watching a youtube video. This unit is very compact and will fit a lot of places. It might even fit under your sink if you don't have anything down there, but I have a water purification system. It would be nice to have direct access to the unit without going down in the basement, but the app works well.Overall I am very happy with its performance. Previously the kitchen/laundry room were at the very end of my hot water loop. This meant that it would take over 90 seconds to start getting hot water. That's a lot of wasted water every time I want to just rinse out a cup. Now that I have this installed within 10 seconds I'm getting hot water. Not only that but it greatly improved the performance of my dishwasher. My dishwasher does not preheat the water on its own, it uses water from the hot water tap. This means, especially in efficiency modes, it's using cold water to wash the dishes since it rarely pulls water for more than a couple of minutes. With this hot water heater it's using hot water. I can also use the app to change the water temperature to a much higher setting when I'm washing dishes. Having wireless app control is really incredible.I put an inline filter in when I set mine up, but I still appreciate the removable filter that is easy to clean on this model. A lot of plumbers will tell you not to bother with tankless water heaters because they get gunked up, so being able to clean it easily is very important. This is a very high quality unit.Overall this water heater is remarkably affordable for all of the features it offers. There's other models out there for less but none of them offer the wifi voice control or the cleanable filter. This model isn't going to heat an entire house's water either. This is a good point of use hot water heater, but it's not a whole home replacement.

I selected this tankless water heater with a great deal of confidence because of the Westinghouse name. The brand goes back to my grandmother’s generation, and I was raised using Westinghouse products, so it is a name I have always associated with reliability. We installed this unit for our primary bathroom because the home’s main water heater is located on the opposite side of the house. It previously took forever for the hot water to reach the bathroom, causing us to waste a considerable amount of water while waiting. Adding a tankless unit closer to the point of use has been a much more practical solution. This was not a simple plug-and-play installation for us. We hired a licensed electrician because our electrical panel needed an additional circuit to accommodate the unit. That added to the installation process, but it was well worth it for the convenience of having hot water available much faster. The Wi-Fi compatibility is an interesting feature, although I am still not entirely sure how often I will need to control a water heater through Alexa or Google Home. It may be useful for checking or adjusting settings remotely, but the primary benefit for us is simply reducing the long wait for hot water.Overall, this is a compact, modern solution from a brand I trust. Professional installation may be necessary depending on your electrical setup, but for our bathroom location, it has been a worthwhile upgrade.
