Galaxy Starry Sky Night Light Projector

I didn't really get like a space feel but I still like it. The light is pretty bright. The lasers can be turned off so you don't get hit in the eye with lasers. The biggest drawback is the flexible neck. I think it could be a little sturdier. Oh, and the remote is very responsive.

My son absolutely loves this starry sky projector! He was so excited to have a new nightlight, and the different star modes make his room feel like a little galaxy at bedtime. The 360° adjustable design makes it easy to aim the light exactly where we want it, and the different settings let him pick his favorite look.The timer is a great feature for nighttime because we can set it and not worry about leaving the light on all night. It’s also compact and portable, so it’s easy to move around when needed. I have been testing this projector for six days since it arrived on August 20. I am super excited to have this as it has been great as an illuminating night light and relaxing color to drift off to sleep. The compact housing combines a night-light function with a broader starry-sky effect, giving it more versatility than a single-purpose lamp. In a dark room, the projected colors create a vivid ceiling and wall display, while the softer light mode is useful when full brightness is unnecessary. The design is lightweight and easy to position on a stable table or shelf.Controls are reasonably intuitive after a short trial, and the visual effect is strongest when ambient light is minimized. Projection coverage depends on distance and room size, so placement makes a noticeable difference. The unit has operated consistently during several evening sessions without flicker or an obvious defect. Three days is only an initial functional check and does not support a firm conclusion about motor, LED, or power-component longevity. I would keep it away from moisture and ensure ventilation around the housing during extended operation. Based on this brief test, the projector delivers an appealing, relaxing display and works well as decorative room lighting or a distinctive gift.

This is a fun little projector for adding color and a starry atmosphere to a bedroom. This small USB galaxy projector creates a surprisingly bright image for its size. For a child, it is a really cool thing to experience, and the look of wonder on my daughter’s face was a priceless moment. The projection looks best in a dark room without light coming from another source, although I can turn off the built-in night-light so it does not compete with the colors on the wall or ceiling. It is compact and basic compared with the larger, more detailed projector my daughter already has, but the galaxy effect is still pretty and clearly visible.The nebula can display different color patterns, and I can either let the colors rotate and change or leave them on one color. I can use the colored nebula by itself, the green “stars” alone, or both effects together. The stars can remain stationary or fade out and reappear, which adds some variety even though the stars themselves do not change color. I think white “stars” would have looked more realistic, but the green dots still create a fun effect that would easily impress a child. The projector also has a timer that turns it off automatically. However, the projection makes the room too bright for me to get restful sleep, although a child may enjoy having it as a night-light and feel that it helps keep the aliens away.The flexible neck is one of the most useful parts of the design. I can bend and angle the projector to change where the image lands, whether I want it closer to the unit or spread farther across the wall and ceiling. It performs best in a smaller room where the projection can cover more of the visible space. Placement does take some experimenting because the direction and distance change how the pattern can be seen.It includes a remote that responds immediately. After using it, I have to unplug it and plug it back in before the projector will operate again. I am not sure why this happens, but it continues to work once I reconnect it. The remote and portable design are convenient, although this is not the type of projector I would choose for someone wanting highly detailed controls or an advanced galaxy display.I ordered a significantly more detailed and complex projector before this one. That model includes various projection slides and cost about $10 more than this one is listed at, so take that comparison for what you will. This is a decent basic projector with portability in mind. To a child, it is amazing.Since it runs through USB, it can be used in more places than a projector that requires a standard wall outlet. It can even be connected inside a parked vehicle to project onto the headliner or windshield, as long as the surroundings are dark enough. It can also be plugged into a power bank and used inside a tent, projecting the galaxy effect onto the top of the tent for a completely different experience. Any dark space with a flat surface above or nearby can become part of the display. It is not highly expensive, and while the design is fairly basic, the bright colors, adjustable head, timer, and different projection combinations still provide an enjoyable effect.

My photograph cannot hope to ever touch on how cool this looks, doesn't even come close to doing it justice.I can project this onto the ceiling or the wall, GIGANTIC, and it looks mesmerizing.There are two things going on with this Galaxy Project Night Light Starry Sky.One is it's showing these nebulous galaxies in red, blue, and green, but also kind of 'breathes' between them if I set it to do so, otherwise it can pick one of those colors and stay solid.Two is the super sharp green laser stars, which also can 'breathe' by the way.Personally, I like to breathe the galaxies, but leave the stars on all the time. Great effect, and I use it as part of my lighting when I'm streaming or creating videos where I'm on camera.It also has a little night light around the stem, but honestly, I don't use it, it's not overly bright or anything.I think this is something that kids would really, really like, and is a great value at the pricepoint. This is relaxing and the colors are pretty, and the effect can take up an entire wall or ceiling with no trouble at all.If I were to add anything to it, or give the product suggestions, I would say that there should be alternative means to power if besides just USB-A, perhaps a wall plug or internal battery, etc.

I've gotten a few of these types of items for my kids from a local store where things are generally less than 5 dollars. In the past I've enjoyed seeing the technology grow. I decided to get one for my own room and have a relaxing skyscape to enjoy for myself.This one is really quite good and a great value over the lesser ones my kids keep finding.There are a pair of images that can project a similar view each but it fades by color making a round spreading soft color spectrum from a singular iris like focal point. I have it plugged in on my bed side table pointing in to the middle of the room so it projects a roughly 5 foot vortex like image that is controllable with a remote. More on the remote later because this is a sore point for me. The laser stars are green laser points that are fairly uniform in their broadcast leaving a field of stars type of effect. There is no control over the color of the stars as a green laser is the only source available. You can set each of the two projected images (iris and starfield) to "breathe" this adds a nice effect of a dimming to off of each light source and it comes back on slowly. I quite enjoy having them set to both breathe and see the contrast in one fading while the other grows. My kids like the just leave it all full on setting. I was also able to stop the breathing to make it dimmer in the iris and or the starfield. This gives a lot of depth and control over the light.You can set a timer or a "night light" which lights up a small white LED at the base of the projector. I don't need either of these features as I only use this for a small amount of time before I am overwhelmed by the sheer strength and power of the green laser.The remote is a good thickness and takes real AAA batteries which is a huge plus as I hate throwing away button cell batteries. The rechargeable battery army I have will keep this running nicely. The only issue I have is that the remote uses the same Infrared pulse patterns as my Vizio Soundbar. So if I make changes to volume or light patterns they both change on me. This can get frustrating while I'm trying to relax. I try to set the projector to it's perfect pattern before turning on the television to avoid interference.Other than that this nicely plugs in to my USB hub by my bed and can hold itself up well enough.I quite enjoy the show it puts on, even if only for a brief time.

It works as advertised. I have to say I don’t like that the ‘stars’ are green. It just seems cheap and unrealistic. And the galaxy/nebula is fun, but not super realistic or anything. It’s a cool thing for a young kid. It was bright and pretty and changed colors great and had a nightlight option. I like that it has a timer feature as well cause you can’t trust a kid to turn it off, haha. Overall it was good, just not super beautiful in a fancy way
