Black Pocket Door Handles and Edge Pull

Good looking modern alternative for pocket doors. I hate the little pop out things and the little circle things that most pocket doors have. This is an elegant solution that is easy to install and looks so much better. You can still install a lock above\below the handle, and you can install the handle either vertically or horizontally. I'm very happy with these and have out them in all 3 of my basement pocket doors.

This is a solid non locking piece of hardware and it installed easier than I expected. Five stars.The build quality is good. It's a clean aluminum casting with no sharp edges anywhere — nothing that needed deburring or filing before it went in, and nothing that'll catch a finger when you grab it.Installation was the pleasant surprise. All it takes is a square notch cut out of the edge of the door, and honestly that was less work than boring for a standard door handle or recessing a typical slider pull. The reason it goes in so cleanly is the flange that wraps over the corner of the cut — that lip covers the edge of the notch on both faces, so your cut doesn't have to be pretty. It hides any tear-out or rough edge, which takes a lot of pressure off getting a perfect cut.On appearance, the matte black finish is even and it looks intentional rather than like an add-on. The flange sitting flush against the door face gives it a finished look.Function-wise, it gives you a real recessed grip to pull the door with instead of pinching at the edge, and the pocket is deep enough to get actual fingers into.Worth being clear on fit and compatibility: I used this on a pair of sliding closet doors, not an actual pocket door. It's spec'd for a 1.57" thick door and mine worked out, but if you're putting this in a true pocket door, think about your clearance first. A pocket door has to slide fully into a wall cavity, and depending on how tight that pocket is, hardware projecting from the door edge could interfere. Measure your pocket before cutting.At around $24 it's a fair price for a cast aluminum pull that installs this cleanly and covers its own cut edge.

This flush black handle has a clean, understated appearance that works well with modern or updated interiors. The one-piece gap-covering design is particularly appealing because it can help give the door edge a more finished look. Since pocket doors disappear into the wall, bulky hardware isn't really an option, so a low-profile finger pull makes sense. The black finish also coordinates easily with popular black hinges, faucets, cabinet hardware, and light fixtures. Super useful during a bathroom, closet, pantry, or laundry-room renovation where every little piece of hardware starts becoming noticeable. I like upgrades like this because they're inexpensive compared with major renovation projects but can make the finished result look considerably more intentional. Once installed correctly, this is the kind of hardware most people probably won't consciously notice (that's actually a compliment). It simply makes the door look neat, functional, and finished instead of calling attention to itself.
