Six filters in one box sounds like a lot until you realize this kit covers both parts of the filtration setup: four black carbon elements plus two white fluoride filters. I much prefer buying them together rather than trying to match separate replacements later.The black filters use coconut-shell activated carbon and feel substantial rather than lightweight or flimsy. After the recommended preparation and flushing, the water came through clear with a clean, neutral taste. There was no carbon flavor or odd smell once everything had been properly rinsed.I also appreciate having the fluoride filters included. They install as the additional filtration stage, so this package makes sense for someone who wants that capability without assembling a system from several different purchases.One caution with any third-party gravity filter is that I wouldn't automatically assume every performance claim is identical to the original manufacturer's filters simply because the cartridges physically fit. For everyday use, though, I've been pleased with the construction, water taste, and convenience of this complete replacement set.
