Modern Hammered Glass Pendant Lighting for Kitchen Island

This pendant lamp is so pretty. The glass is of good quality—not hazy or thin—and it will complement most home décor. The black base pairs well with other black or rubbed bronze fixtures. It’s lightweight but feels sturdy.I haven’t hung it up yet, but it would be great over a countertop or bar in the kitchen. It would also look lovely in an entryway or above a garden tub. It looks expensive and is truly beautiful. I think three or four of these would look fantastic over a kitchen bar counter.

First impressions upon opening the box - nice! - the black painted metal ceiling mount and fixture support appear to be well made. The glass globe is clear, not yellowed or tinted. The hardware items fit and function properly. A light bulbs screws into the socket easily and fully without misalignment. My hand fit, though a little snugly, into the 3.5 inch opening of the globe to attach the socket, and then to install the bulb. The edges of the glass have been sanded, so no risk of injury while maneuvering my hand holding the light bulb into the globe. I experienced no issues replacing my existing ceiling light fixture with this pendant light. I used a decorative led bulb that resembles an incandescent bulb as suggested by the product photos - it looks great! I really like the patterns of light that seem to bounce and dance off the ceiling and surrounding surfaces from the hammered glass. Just note: if you want to shorten the cable, you will need a very small flat screwdriver or similar tool to loosen the nut that holds the wire firmly into the ceiling mount. I wish the manufacturer had included one.
