I just moved into a new custom house. After spending a lot of money on landscaping, I balked at the huge amount they wanted for landscape lighting. I found I could get a low voltage transformer and run the in ground wire myself before the sod had rooted. I've installed several already, but found the mowing company knocked over the upright style. I'm hoping that burying most of the fixture will be more stable. The fixtures in the box are heavy. This is a professional grade set. They are much better than sold in home stores. They have replaceable lamps and a waterproof wire nuts to attach to the ungrounded cable. Im looking forward to installing them

This is the same type of power that, years ago, was used on children’s electric trains around the Christmas tree very low voltage.They also have quick-connect clips that you can buy at an electrical supply store, Home Depot, or Lowe’s that connect the lights very quickly. You need to dig six holes; you can use a posthole digger or a small trowel to dig the holes, then thread the wire under the ground. I usually just thread it a couple of inches under the ground; you could thread it deeper if you choose to.
