Picked this SN-58B up for everyday wiring and it’s been reliable. Handles all the usual open barrel terminals I run into—Dupont, Molex, JST, the power pins for PC builds, even some automotive stuff. The jaws are cut clean so the crimps come out tight without mangling the terminals. Ratchet takes the guesswork out; it locks until the crimp is done and then lets go. You can tweak the pressure if needed and the handles don’t kill your hands after a bunch of crimps.Quick release is handy when you need to open it mid-job. Does what it’s supposed to without drama. Good tool for the price if you’re doing harnesses, custom cables, or random electronics work.

I've been working on adding in a toggle switch aux line on my old Lexus cd player. I didn't want to set it up permanently in case I need to modify it later so I wanted to use bullet connectors. This crimp tool is perfect for that job, much better than in the past when I've had to use pliers (even good parallel ones). Definitely a good buy for the money.

First I'll say these work soooo much better than needle nose pliers.... Hahaha. I've got a lot of tools and even various crimpers. But I didn't have any for small electrical connections. I had recently installed some led lighting for my son, on his car. These crimpers would have came in clutch for the tiny wire and connector. Needle nose pliers didn't work and I ended up having to solder the wire. I have tested these out on a few connectors and they work great. These crimpers are durable, as I just usually pitch them in my toolbox as well as a great size. They don't take up much room. Great price and they can be used for many different connector types. Overall a great tool. You won't need it until you do. Lol.

The SN-58B Ratchet Crimper is a versatile hand-crimping tool designed for open-barrel electrical terminals commonly used in automotive wiring, electronics, computer builds, and DIY projects. Supporting approximately AWG 23-16 wire and 0.25-1.5mm² conductors, it covers a useful range of small and medium-gauge wiring applications. Its 5-in-1 compatibility makes the crimper especially useful for working with terminals used in Deutsch, Delphi, Molex, AMP, JST, Dupont 2.54mm, KF2510, and similar connector systems. This versatility can reduce the need to keep several separate crimping tools on the workbench for different projects. The ratcheting mechanism helps provide consistent crimping pressure by keeping the jaws engaged throughout the crimp cycle. This makes it easier to produce secure, repeatable connections while reducing the guesswork that can come with traditional non-ratcheting crimping pliers. For PC builders and electronics enthusiasts, the tool is useful for creating and repairing custom ATX, EPS, PCIe, and SATA power cables as well as smaller connector harnesses. It can also be handy for automotive accessories, microcontroller projects, LED wiring, and custom cable assemblies. The ergonomic handle provides a comfortable grip and better leverage when making multiple crimps. Combined with the compact design and broad terminal compatibility, it makes a practical addition to an electronics bench, automotive electrical kit, or general wiring toolbox.Overall, a great value for the money and a versatile open-barrel crimping tool that combines AWG 23-16 capacity, a dependable ratcheting mechanism, ergonomic handling, and broad compatibility with Deutsch, Delphi, Molex, AMP, JST, Dupont, KF2510, ATX, EPS, PCIe, SATA, and other commonly used terminals.

TL;DR: The ratcheting mechanism produces uniform crimps on open barrel terminals without crushing the tiny metal pins.Working with small connectors like JST and Molex requires precise pressure so the metal tabs fold cleanly around the wire core. This tool handles AWG 24 to 16 wire sizes easily, and the ratcheting action guarantees full compression before releasing.⚙️ The handles provide good leverage without straining my hand during repeated crimps. Having a built in quick release lever is handy whenever a pin gets positioned slightly off center. As a 35 year veteran of the computer technology industry, I offer informed and experienced perspectives in my product reviews.I will update this review if anything changes within 1 year.★★★★★ A 5 star rating indicates the product meets my expectations for its purpose.

Honest, it took me to ruin several waterproof electrical connections working on my kayak's electrical system to convince me it was time to buy a proper set of crimpers. Sure, I had crimpers for cat5 cable. I had crimpers for coax. But, when it came to little electrical connections, I alway just used needle nose pliers. Those "work" in the sense they crush metal and that holds wire, but when you start working around water with plastic shrink tubing, the integrity of the shrink tubing is destroyed. So, for the wasted money on connectors I had to throw away, I was able to buy this proper crimper. The pliers are laminated steel and feel great in the hand. There's a soft lock on the jaw that makes storage tidy. To do this, you squeeze the pliers to where the jaws just close but stop short of putting pressure on the teeth. If you tighten, they are unlocked, which makes sense for crimping (you don't want to lock the jaws on a connector). The teeth are perfectly sized for a range of wires and it brought a grin to my face to have a perfect crimp. Finally!Build quality is outstanding These will give years of great service. The advice I wish I had been given years ago -- even if you have a single connector to attach, buy the proper crimper. Pliers do not do the job properly.

Reviewing the Gxzz Sn-58B ratchet crimper. This tool arrived at my location boxed up well and in perfect working order.I have been looking for some help with my solar panel repairs for a while. Not every crimper handles the semi light gauge of the connecters of solar wires. So, I am super happy to improve my abilities with these lines and connections. These crimpers are super easy to use. They lock together when not in use....they have a ratcheting mechanism that keeps every crimp at the correct pressure too.The handles have a nice grip and rubber covers which work perfectly. The jaws of the crimper are well cut and completely void of burrs or knicks. There is a nice coating on the whole unit that should keep it rust free and looking great for many years.Overall, a great product and wonderful addition to my electrical tool box. The real value in this unit is that I won't burn through a bunch of connectors anylong when repairing wiring projects. This unit is a big effort and time saver.Very happy customer!

We tested the SN‑58B ratchet crimper on a mix of open‑barrel terminals: Dupont 2.54mm, JST, Molex, and a few automotive Deutsch‑style connectors. The tool has a solid weight and the ratcheting mechanism engages smoothly, giving consistent pressure without crushing the terminal. Each crimp locked firmly onto 23–16 AWG wire, and the wings folded cleanly around both conductor and insulation.During PC‑related testing, the crimper produced reliable results for ATX/EPS/PCIe/SATA connectors—no loose pins and no misaligned crimps. The ergonomic handles made longer sessions comfortable, and the tool never slipped or pinched. Release and reset were smooth, and the jaws stayed aligned throughout testing.Pros: consistent ratchet action, clean crimps on open‑barrel terminals, works across PC and automotive connectors, comfortable ergonomic handles, good range for 0.25–1.5mm² wireCons: requires careful terminal positioning—misalignment leads to imperfect crimps if rushedA dependable, well‑built crimper that delivers professional‑quality results for hobbyists, PC builders, and automotive wiring projects.
