So I acquired this kit to help prop up one small section of a wobbly wooden fence in my yard. I should point out that the fence was installed improperly from the beginning, hence this issue. It was easy to pound in these spikes and anchor them, as the soil the fence post on was fairly loose. These don't dig too deep- if your fence was properly installed these spikes shouldn't really do much. Fortunately for me (or unfortunately depending on how you look at it), this kit worked, and helped stabilize the one panel at least somewhat. It's definitely less wobbly than before, so this does work at least a bit. The problem is not with the kit, but that the whole fence needs to ultimately be removed and reinstalled, but this kit does buy me some time at least until the inevitable.

I wish I would have found this brand sooner. I had purchased another brand from Home Depot after hearing this design could help keep my fence up with heavy wind. I pad $125 for 8 of them at Home Depot. This set is $89 for 8. (July 2026). The quality is nearly identical.I purchased the split unit (vs a one piece) to see if there was a difference in how well they worked. There isn't. The split unit bolts together (includes the allen wrench) and holds tight. I did put some locktite on it just to help future me avoid additional maintenance.This also includes a drill bit for pre-drilling holes and a socket adapter so you can use your impact driver to attaching the screws. Besides the hammers, everything else you need is included.These things help so much. I've reset concrete, used straps and supports, and just about everything else I can think of to keep my fence from tilting when high wind hits. These things do the trick.Pro Tip: water the area heavily you want to place the post in. It makes hammering it 2 feet into the ground so much easier. I also used a clamp to attach a level to the post so I could (handfree) make sure it is at the correct angle before hammering it in. It makes single person installation so much easier.

I used these fence post repair and fixing iron parts last year, and they were very practical and convenient.This time, I bought these fence post repair iron parts again. They are fence post anchors and stakes made of thick iron plates. They are very suitable for repairing leaning or broken wooden fence posts.My experience in installation and repair is as follows: First, straighten the leaning wooden fence post. Then, predict the position of the joint between the upper end of the iron stake to be driven into the ground and the lower end of the iron stake fixing section of the wooden post. Mark the line clearly on the straightened leaning fence post and determine the distance between the iron stake and the wooden post. This makes it easier to drive the lower iron stake into the ground at an accurate depth. After driving the lower iron stake into the predetermined depth, fill and compact the loose soil. Then, fix the upper section to the upper end of the driven iron stake. Finally, lock the upper section to the wooden post, and the entire operation is complete.The whole process requires some judgment and skill; otherwise, if the planting is off-center, starting over will loosen the soil again, requiring even more time and effort! However, this set of iron parts is indeed a great tool for repairing leaning wooden fences. It can last for a long time without needing to worry!

This fence post repair kit is helpful for old fences. I have a fence that is over twenty years old. It's mostly upright and secure but some of the posts are getting a little weak and the ground around them is giving way a bit. I'm not ready to replace the whole thing yet. This unit is going to be a stopgap for the next few years.It assembled easily enough. I was able to hammer the point into the soil until it was just about touching the ground. The top part kept the circular post vertical and stiff. I screwed everything in and it held. Sorry for no pictures of that.I think a solid piece would be better than two parter. I also think the screws are a bit short. Overall, it's working now and should hold but for needier fences you might need to upgrade.
