My husband had replaced the extinguishers from our old house with smaller ones that are only a little over one pound, so this bracket is too large for the extinguisher we currently have and we aren't able to use it right now. When we move, however, we'll purchase a properly sized extinguisher so we can put this bracket to use.The price initially seemed a little steep to me for what is essentially just a holder, but after comparing it with similar brackets, I think the price is actually fairly reasonable. Considering the sturdy construction and included mounting hardware, it seems like a good option for anyone who has a properly sized fire extinguisher. Just be sure to check the size and weight requirements of your extinguisher before ordering.

We got this mount specifically to keep a fire extinguisher secured in my husband’s truck. Ever since then, we’ve made a point of carrying one in our vehicles.The problem with just keeping an extinguisher in the truck is that it can roll or slide around, and in an actual emergency you don’t want to be searching for it. This mount solves that problem perfectly. It keeps the extinguisher securely in one designated spot while still making it quick and easy to grab if we ever need it.The mount feels sturdy, the straps hold the extinguisher well, and I really like the simple quick-release design. Hopefully we’ll never actually need the extinguisher, but having it securely mounted and immediately accessible gives us a lot more peace of mind.

When going for the fire extinguisher it is most likely a high stress situation. The last thing you want is to have to fumble around getting it off the wall. The three hook and loop straps do not make this an easy grab. While they hold it very securely, you have to release all three to get it out. This take time. The ends have the hook material going all the way to the end. This make grabbing in a panic difficult. The ends should have no attachment material on the last 1" to make releasing easier. While 3 straps do make it more secure 2 would have done the job just fine and been easier to release. Both the 2.5lb and 5lb bottles fit just fine. My 5lb has a hose and there are no provision to secure it. The straps are just long enough to go around the bottle. I would have made the middle strap longer so it would hold the hose close to the bottle. If you are looking to secure one in something moving like a truck or boat this would be a good option due to the fact that it hold on very tight. If plan to install in a stationary location like a garage or house, something with an easier to use release system would be better suited. I conclusion if keeping it securely in place is your main objective this will perform well.

This is a very high quality item made of sturdy metal that's beautifully coated in red paint. This holder looks very nice, and helps me keep the fire extinguisher in one predictable place rather than moving from corner to corner of my pantry.I have two fire extinguishers, one small, one medium size, and both of them fit well on this holder. The holder comes with the mounting hardware and was easy to install. The fire extinguisher is very secure when attached.At first I was bothered by the fact that it says "quick release," because if you try to undo each strap that isn't going to release quickly at all. But if you don't fasten it down super tight, you can actually just pull the extinguisher straight up to free it from the loops.I feel like this is a good value and I would order again.

It will work, but it doesn't inspire the level of confidence I'd want for something intended for emergency use.I also question the "quick-release" claim. The extinguisher is secured with multiple hook-and-loop (Velcro) straps that all have to be undone before you can remove it. In a real emergency, every second counts, and Velcro can sometimes be inconsistent or awkward to separate quickly. That doesn't feel like the best design choice for potentially life-saving equipment.Finally, I'd be cautious about the "heavy-duty" description. The construction is adequate, but I don't think it's robust enough to truly earn that label.Overall, it's a functional bracket with some notable compromises. It may be fine for light-duty use with a smaller extinguisher, but the reliance on multiple Velcro straps keeps me from recommending it.
