First, verify your extinguisher will fit before buying. Check both circumference and height. Circumference is more forgiving than height because of the bent metal at the top to keep the fire extinguisher from sliding out.Opening up the bracket, you can see and feel the quality. This is not a cheap piece of metal with some plastic clasps that will break after a few trips.The latest are metal and are easily adjustable. It comes with mounting hardware that I, admittedly, threw away and used my own (unique application). They didn't feel cheap, however.If you need to mount the correct size fire extinguisher in a moving vehicle or other similar location, this bracket works great!If you need more flexibility in extinguisher sizes or the mount location is stationary, another bracket (without the top bend) may be a better choice.

These mounts are great. They’re very sturdy and stable. The metal is very thick. The installation is easy although I had to source my own screws because I’m using it in the house. The one problem I had was it didn’t fit my taller fire extinguisher, even though width wise it would fit. The tall fire extinguisher hits the tab at the too. It’s a shame because the metal can hold a much heavier extinguisher than I have on it now. Either way the fit for my thin fire extinguishers is perfect. It looks very professional and works well. I love the Metal braces. This should last a lifetime of my home.

This mounting bracket sold by Durbracketer is sized for 2.5 and 5 lb fire extinguishers. The buckles are nice quick release type. The fabric straps are not super duty but strong enough to hold the bottle, and are adjustable with threaded eyelets to quickly tighten up as needed. The metal bracket itself is thick and strong, with rubber type pads that can be pushed on or pulled off relatively easy. For hard core expedition and off-road use I prefer multiple smaller extinguishers with dedicated mounting brackets due to serious vibration and jarring. Garage, shop, RV, and truck use would be a better application where there is more room to fit the mount with a larger heavier extinguisher. I don't care for the top "hand" of the metal bracket that's supposed to keep the tank from bouncing up, because the height is not adjustable to fit a wide range and styles of tanks. I hoped it would be higher/taller, to hold a 5 lb CO2 tank used for airing up tires, and unfortunately it's too short for that. That said, it's a decent value for the right application and tank. One other minor thing to mention, one strap on the mount I received was threaded though the buckle incorrectly. It's not a big deal and is easily fixed in a couple minutes, just something to double check if the strap has an extra 1/2 twist in it when connected.

Every now and again you see something so well build and strong that you just have to say "Wow". Worth the price, as they took no shortcuts in metal thickness. VERY solid and well constructed. With the straps and the construction no amount of vibration or shaking will cause it to fail. It is the complete opposite of the "hangers" most extinguishers come with. The nice powder coat paint looks awesome contrasting with the "rescue green" JK, the pads are thick and will prevent rattles. The straps are completely adjustable and hold strong, but release effortlessly with the flick of the hand on each one. You could mount this just about anywhere and never worry about loosing the fire extinguisher. Now I need to get a better fire extinguisher to fill it out and use the carrying capacity this affords. Exceeds my expectations, I will probably order additional for other my other projects/campers/trailers/side by side/etc. About only thing this would not be ideal for is an airplane where the weight would be a negative.Edit - it came with hardware - it hides in package and would be easy to toss with the plastic bag it comes in while you are in awe at the weight of the mount.. Nice self tappers with thick rubber anti-rattle washer, as well as some Allen head screws with bolts to put into drilled holes. Great options for mounting on various surfaces and very nice quality of hardware.

I have a 2024 Jeep Gladiator that I use for occasional off-roading. I’ve installed Molle panels in the pickup bed to hold and organize those items I may need on an off road trip. One of the things I recently obtained is a 2.5 lb fire extinguisher.I ordered the Durbracketer fire extinguisher mount to install on my Molle system so I can safely carry a fire extinguisher.This bracket is for ordinary sized 2.5 lb and 5 lb dry fire extinguishers. It is made of powder coated steel and is padded so that the extinguisher is held firmly in place without annoying vibrations.I’m impressed with the quality and strength of this bracket. It is very well made and the steel is very sturdy. I like that the holding brackets are adjustable through the use of adjustable nylon straps and a quick release screw mechanism. One it’s set for the size of the extinguisher I don’t have to fuss with it again. The instructions on how to adjust the straps and screw mechanism are in the listing pictures.Mounting the bracket depends on where you want to use it. The bracket comes with two self tapping screws and two small nuts and bolts. Because I’m installing the bracket on my Molle panel I am using a flat bracket, with holes, on the backside of the Molle panel. I’ll insert nuts and bolts through the flat bracket, through the Molle and through the two of the four holes in the extinguisher bracket.This heavy duty fire extinguisher bracket is perfect for my off roading adventures. It’s durable, easy to use and should last a long time. The price is reasonable for the quality of the bracket. I’m very satisfied.

Yhisnmount bracket is serious Heavy Duty, thick gage material, well designed to support the fire extinguisher safely and firmly.The real problem is the straps. While they are well made, adjustable, strong, and hold the extinguisher firmly, there are 2 of them and they require 2 hands in order to release them due to their ergonomics. This is great to keep the extinguisher in place even in harsh environments or off road trucking, but a really bad design when you actually need to use them in an emergency and speed is critical to extinguish a fire.I will have to find a different strap with a one hand quick release before I install this.

This is indeed a solid commercial padded fire extinguisher with a powder coated heavy not bendable steel frame.I was a little disappointed that it didn't fit a 2.0 extinguisher in my possession. The straps are made of nylon a non-heavy duty grade but still it's nylon so there is implied strength.The downside was there was no instructions in the box and there was hardware for mounting. I did have to step back and figure out how the buckle clips worked.The hardware I don't know what kind of steel it is but I don't think it would survive humidity in Florida if exposed for long periods. It would be more of an aesthetic thing and not a compromise of the functionality.I would suggest that you come up with your own mounting hardware.The metal on the nylon straps are not marked and there is is no information about what type of metal this is on the clips that hold the extinguisher in place.But, what we are buying is a solid frame holder that is padded to stop "rattling" for the inside of a truck. The straps themselves have a lot of steel, and a magnetic device confirmed they are steel.In a saltwater marine environment I don't know that this metal will hold up because it's just corrosion resistant. Irregardless of decomposition of a low grade steel metal the buckling capacity should not be affected.The frame is powder coated and it feels like it weighs a couple pounds It is not cheap nor is it bendable.Did the vendor deliver a product as advertised? Yes they did.Where could they make improvements?Some kind of product instructional paper showing how you can tighten the strap and how the buckle pieces connect and how you tighten and lose etc.When I open order is the last thing I want to do is have to pick up my phone and hunt the vendor down to see how to assemble something or use something. It would be much appreciated if it came with the product or even a short video of how it mount it and how to attach the straps would have been appreciated.I would have shot that video if it would have fit my 2 lb extinguisher and it does not.
