Needed a lock for my home office and this came in handy. Really easy to install. App gives option to set code as well as putting in fingerprint. Can also be unlocked with jus the app should u need to do a one time access for someone without giving out your code. What i love the most is that since its round it fits a standard door so no need for additional cut outs like would be expected with other styles.

Comes in one of those bags that's not quite fabric but not quite plastic to keep it all together in your bag. The entire lock tool is made of metal, there aren't any plastic parts that could snap off. They included some directions that took a few minutes to figure out, but once I put the plate in the hole and then placed the wedge against the door, it did work. The effectiveness will definitely depend on the thickness of the door, my apartment complex has thinner interior doors so the door budged a bit. However, the lock remained in place.Keep in mind that this won't prevent the door from being kicked in, it's only as good as its weakest link which is usually the plate that gets put in the door jam. Unless it's security screws, you will won't be protected against a brute force attack. However, this is great if you just need to make sure you have privacy in an area that doesn't allow you to lock the door.

As someone who has been working on doors and locks for the last 16 years, I feel that this device should keep someone with a key or keycard from getting into your room without you knowing.It's a neat idea, but not really any more secure than the bar lock that most hotel room doors get instead of chains these days. If someone tries to kick in the door, this won't stop them any more than the handle would.It is pretty light and small enough to be portable, fairly easy to set up and understand and will work great as a privacy type lock.
