This extension cord visually appears well made but felt unexpectedly light for a 12 gauge wire.I do like the socket cap on the end, to protect the contacts when nothing is plugged in. The cord is also nice and flexible.I thought the cable felt a little light compared to other 12 gauge extension cords I have. The whole extension cord weighs about 2.25lbs, which is too light to be copper. I measured the resistance (with a precision 4-wire ohm meter) and compared it with another 12 gauge extension cord. The Line and Neutral conductors were 50-60 mOhms higher resistance than the known good 25ft 12 AWG Copper cord and the ground was about 120 mOhms higher. These are pretty significant differences.The cable jacket does claim it uses 3 conductor 12 gauge wire but doesn't mention anything to suggest what the conductors are made of. With these suspicions, I wasn't sure I could trust this, so I decided to cut it in half to measure the actual wire size and type. Sure enough the conductors are copper clad aluminum (CCA), not pure copper. The Line and Neutral are at least 12 gauge CCA but the ground is closer to 14 gauge CCA.I also wasn't able to verify the ETL listing. The cable has 5019311 printed next to "(ETL)" but this number doesn't turn up anything in Intertek's public product listing database. This doesn't mean it's fake but it doesn't inspire confidence.I would not recommend this extension cord. While they don't claim it is made with copper wire, they don't disclose anywhere that it uses CCA. The grounding wire is also smaller than the other two, which is not consistent with the cable markings.

I like everything about this cord. It is a heavy yet flexible cord that will carry max amps for most things you'll need around the house or farm. Run any appliance, tool, lighting with no problem. Thick and sturdy construction, with an exceptionally well made, double-lined receptacle, which is molded and reinforced into the cord. No shorting or fraying should come to this cord.Your plug will slide in and connect securely, no slipping, no digging into the side of the receptacle. This even has a cover on it to keep out the dirt, moisture, debris that typically foul other extension cords over time.I've looked over every inch of this, and find no imperfections, no cut corners, etc. It is simply very well made, and designed for serious outdoor work. The outer surface of the cable is very strong, and should handle all the exposure you may throw at it.This is the type of quality cord that we should all gravitate to, for longevity, safety and performance. I'm not an expert in extension cord costs these days, but I find this one to be of exceptional quality. The cost seems quite reasonable for the years of service it will provide.I also love the unusual blue color. Makes it easier to keep track of, as I do not want to leave this behind somewhere, or get it mixed up with someone else's cords. Very nice.

This is a seriously beefy extension cord. It's thick, feels very solidly made, and is exactly the sort of cord I want when I'm running power tools instead of wondering whether the bargain-bin extension cord is quietly reconsidering its career choices. I haven't tried to push it all the way to its 1875-watt rating, but it handles my big shop vac without any trouble, which was the main reason I bought it.The 25-foot length is also just about perfect for my garage. I got this to use for running a car battery charger to charge cars in our driveway.We have a car that doesn't get driven very much and sits on the driveway for long periods. From time to time I have to get out a car charger and top up the 12V battery, which typically takes 24 hours to fully trickle charge. I wanted a power cord that would cope with this and be resistant to dew or occasional overnight showers not predicted by the weather forecast.This power cable has a robust feel to it and I like that there is a cap on the female end to keep moisture out when it is not in use; if I forget to roll up the cord after unplugging the charger, it is not a disaster.12 Gauge is probably overkill for my application, but it gives flexibility if I want to use the cord for something else.I like how well this cord is made and the robust feel to it. I picked up this 12/3 25-foot SIOIO outdoor extension cord because I needed something heavy-duty enough for outdoor use without worrying about it being a flimsy household cord. This feels like a heavy-duty power cord, and it is 12-gauge, 15 A. It is on the higher end of these that you would see at a home improvement store or big-box retailer.What I like most about this, compared to others, is primarily the color. I don't think I've seen an extension cord in this color before, and I don't really like it. I know that's kind of an odd thing to say about a home improvement type of product, but it stands out.The other thing I really like about this product is that the female portion of the power cable comes with a cover that is built in. I don't think I've seen that before, at least not on this level of power cord or cable.The only reason I'm docking a star is because part of the white inner cable is showing through the top of the plastic of the male end of the power cable. You can see it there in the third photo. There's a white line. I thought it was dust at first, but it's clearly the "white" of the white, red, green- or whatever variety of white positive neutral internal cabling this thing uses. I'm gonna put some electrical tape paint on top of it and call it a day, but I honestly think it would work just fine without it. It doesn't seem like I could give this thing an honest 5-star review when part of the cable is exposed, even though that cable is sheathed.Probably just a one-off manufacturing thing, but otherwise I really love this - extension cord- The dust cover- The waterproof cover- The color of it and a beefy nature.
