Narrow Cabinet Door Magnetic Latches for Door Closed
Narrow Cabinet Door Magnetic Latches for Door Closed
Key Features
- Invisible Magnetic Hold, No Bulky Hardware: Say goodbye to obtrusive knobs and visible latches. Our narrow version sits discreetly on the edge of your cabinet door, providing a clean, almost invisible look. The powerful magnet ensures a firm hold for lightweight to medium-weight doors, while the slim thickness won't interfere with adjacent doors or drawers.
- Easy Peel-and-Stick Installation in Seconds: No screws, no drills, no mess. Clean the surface, peel off the adhesive backing, and press the narrow magnetic catch onto your door or frame. For optimal bonding, wait 12 hours before normal use. This allows you to upgrade multiple narrow cabinets or RV storage compartments quickly—good for renters or DIYers who want a damage-free solution.
- Versatile Application on Narrow Surfaces: Works flawlessly on laminated cabinet edges, finished wood, acrylic, glass, and painted MDF. Use it on slim pantry doors, jewelry armoires, sliding wardrobe panels, camper cabinets, and even shoji screens. The adhesive holds strong in dry indoor environments, giving you a tidy, professional-looking closure wherever standard catches are too wide to fit.
- Whisper-Quiet & Gentle Closing Action: Unlike spring-loaded latches that produce a loud click, this narrow magnetic catch uses a soft magnetic pull to guide the door shut with a near-silent “thud.” It eliminates rattling, bouncing, and slamming, making it ideal for bedrooms, nurseries, home libraries, or any space where noise reduction matters.

I originally bought these to hopefully use as an extra catch for our mailbox door that kept dropping open. So far so good! It’s just enough of a magnetic hold that the door stays closed. They have been on our mailbox for almost two months now and I haven’t noticed any loosening on the adhesive backing. After I fixed the mailbox issue I realized I have two kitchen cabinets that shut but stay open a half inch…it drives my husband crazy so I popped a set of these magnets in the bottom edge of each door and they are holding up great! They are super easy to install- just take the backing off to reveal an adhesive backing and stick the magnet where you need it. I’ve found that if you keep both sides of the magnet together, position it to the cabinet, then remove the other adhesive side and shut your door- you have it perfectly placed.

I was impressed by how strong the magnetic pull is with these. My first thought was whether the adhesive would be able to handle the repeated force needed to open the cabinet once the magnets were engaged, but so far I have had no problem with them coming loose. They are especially useful on cabinet doors that have developed a tendency to sit slightly open over time, even after the hinges have been adjusted properly. The magnets pull the door in securely and keep it where it belongs without adding bulky hardware.Installation is simple, and the low-profile design makes them easy to place without drawing attention to them. For a small fix, they solve an annoying problem very effectively.

These are small little cabinet door magnets to help keep cabinets closed. They're especially useful if there's some tilt that's causing the doors to swing open on its own.The magnet isn't very strong, which may actually be a positive since it doesn't risk the adhesive ripping the magnets apart from the cabinet when you try to open it. The weak magnet also doesn't cause slamming when you try to close it. It's strong enough to keep the cabinet doors from sliding out from a slight tilt. If it's a heavy cabinet at a strong tilt, then you may need something stronger.Installation is pretty easy, just peel the adhesive and stick it on where two cabinet edges touch. Most cabinets will have this interface, but not all of them have enough of a space to fit the magnet. It's relatively small and thin though, so I expect this to be compatible with a lot of cabinets and drawers.

These solved an annoying rattling cabinet door problem in minutes. The adhesive backing held firmly to both painted wood and laminate surfaces I tested, and I didn't need to pre-clean with anything beyond a quick wipe-down for it to bond well. Being ultra-thin, the catches are barely noticeable once installed — they don't interfere with doors closing flush like some bulkier magnetic catches do.Magnetic strength is solid — enough to keep cabinet and wardrobe doors securely shut without slamming, but not so strong that opening the door takes real effort. With 8 in the pack, I was able to handle several kitchen cabinets and a closet door with some left over. Great no-drill solution, especially useful for renters who can't modify cabinetry.

If you look at the images in the listing, they give the impression that these might work to prevent children from opening doors and drawers, but that's not really the case. They are designed to just keep the doors from opening on their own. There is enough magnetism that my littlest has a bit of trouble pulling them open, but he's a quick learner and I'm sure it will only be a month before he's pulling things open. Nonetheless, they are great for cabinets and drawers that don't quite stay closed. I have two kitchen cupboards that and a drawer that stay cracked open and these low profile magnets worked like a charm to keep them closed. They are adhesive on one side to stick to the cabinet and magnetic on the other to stick to the other magnet. I used rubbing alcohol to clean the surface so the adhesive would stick well. That's my biggest durability concern for these over time. They are thin and work well for that purpose, so I recommend them if you have that one cabinet or drawer that just drives you nuts because it won't stay closed. They are an inexpensive option.

I have a double door style setup to my pantry. Constantly, one door wants to stick slightly open fairly consistently. There really isn't' much of a catch to get them to stay close, or at least there wasn't. I like these magnetic closures. Simple and easy to install - and they just work. I can slightly nudge a door shut and it will just CLINK into the magnet rendering it closed. I also have one of those pieces of furniture that hides the trashcans. It has, unfortunately, been subjected to multiple opens/closes that have rendered one of the drawers to be slightly prone to sticking a little bit open. After installing one of these on it - it now remains closed until you want it to not be. Not only is this product easy to install, it is also very effective at keeping doors where you want them to be. I liked how they included extra sticky pads for the magnets as well. My first install was not quite correct and I had to reposition the metal plate. I will say, the sticky pads are very strong. I did lose a little bit of paint on the one install I had to reposition, but it was somewhat expected. Removal of the sticky pad from the metal plates was manageable, but it does want to stay where you've placed it.Ultimately, I like how simple yet effective I found these door magnets. I had an issue of certain doors not staying as closed as I wanted, and this fixed that issue. Excellent product.
