My old interior knobs had reached the stage where opening a bedroom door occasionally felt like negotiating with antique machinery. The zinc alloy construction feels substantial in the hand, and the lever shape is much easier to operate when my hands are full. The lever action feels smooth when everything is installed and aligned correctly, and the latch engages without requiring a dramatic shoulder bump against the door. These are designed to work with left and right handled doors, which is handy when replacing hardware throughout a house. I still checked every door orientation before installation because assuming all doors cooperate with logic is how home projects gain extra chapters.Installation is fairly typical for replacement interior hardware. If the existing bore holes, latch openings, and backset are compatible, most of the job involves removing the old hardware, installing the latch, fitting both lever assemblies, and tightening everything evenly. I found it better to start the screws loosely and test the lever before final tightening so the mechanism doesn't bind. Older doors with unusual holes or worn strike plates may require adjustment, because new hardware unfortunately cannot convince a crooked doorframe to reconsider its life choices.The zinc alloy gives these more heft than lightweight plastic or very inexpensive hollow-feeling hardware. With an eight-pack, consistency matters, and matching levers give hallways and adjacent rooms a much cleaner appearance. Fingerprints and everyday marks can still happen depending on the finish and lighting, so occasional wiping is inevitable. I also wouldn't overtighten the mounting screws, since crushing everything together isn't a recognized method of improving latch performance.For a multi-room hardware refresh, this package offers a practical combination of matching style, privacy locking, reversible door compatibility, and solid-feeling construction. The biggest installation variables will usually be the doors themselves, particularly older ones with worn latches, imperfect alignment, or nonstandard preparation. Once properly fitted, the lever design is comfortable and gives ordinary interior doors a noticeably updated look. I really wish these were compatible with my interior doors, but sadly they did not work. They are 100% quality heavy duty and nice door handles. This was a very sad return for me, because I really do love them and they deserve all five stars, but I didn’t want to have to replace four doors in my house in order for them to work.

I ordered these matte black door knobs to replace the old gold knobs on the “functional” side of a set of interior double doors.Overall, I am very impressed with the quality, look and functionality of our updated knobs.These knobs have a matte black finish that is beautifully done. The square plate and the long handle give them a clean, somewhat modern feel. However, the overall look is definitely neutral enough to be used in a variety of different décor styled rooms. We’re replacing the knobs in an area of our home that is more formal, with high ceilings and large windows. We actually tried a different set of round knobs recently, and, while the other knobs were considered “standard” size, they felt too small for the space and seemed to be swallowed up by the rest of the room. This is not the case with these door knobs. These feel appropriately sized and blend seamlessly into the area. While not overly loud, they do command somewhat of a presence, offering a high end feel that enhances the overall look of the space. They are not, however, so oversized that they would stick out in a smaller space. In my opinion, these would fit well in rooms of essentially all sizes.The knobs look and feel high quality, and they are clearly very well made. They have a nice, solid weight to them (but not overly heavy), and feel very durable. The surface is smooth and pleasant to touch. Once installed, they are easy to operate, offering a smooth, relatively effortless experience.Installation was straightforward, clear, and what I would expect for this type of product. Detailed directions are included if needed, and all necessary hardware comes with the set. It took no more than 30 minutes to remove the old knobs and replace them with these.Overall, these door knobs are attractive, functional and high quality. At $34 for four sets, this is a fantastic value. I highly recommend!
