The Imbot Drawer Jig is a huge step up from the usual wooden jigs I would create when working my own cabinets. While the jig itself is nicely built, its packaging and storage leaves something to be desired.I must start by pointing out that my jig arrived damaged with the top flange bent which was clearly damage in shipping due to the poor, cramped packaging. I was able to hammer out the dent and use the jig, but it was a further indication that at least SOME kind of storage container, a simple tool case, would have both protected the jig in shipping and during storage, something I strongly feel is lacking from this otherwise useful tool.The anodized aluminum is even and the measurement markings accurate. Adjusting the horizontal and vertical distance is easy to do by hand and the included hex wrench allows one to really dial them in and tighten the nuts to prevent movement during drilling.Overall, if you move past the lack of storage and damage in shipping, it’s a jig that gets its job done and is a significant upgrade to the DIY jigs I was used to.

I have a Kreg Cabinet Hardware Jig Pro that I typically use when installing cabinet doors and drawers. However, I decided to try this Imbot drawer jig because I've had good experiences with the Imbot brand. After spending some time with it, I found it a practical, affordable tool that simplifies drawer hardware installation. While it doesn't offer all the features of my Kreg jig, it provides solid functionality for the price.The included instruction manual doesn’t show how to assemble the jig, but it does include helpful diagrams that clearly explain how to use it. Assembling the jig is straightforward and takes only a few minutes. I demonstrate the process in the attached video.Once assembled, the jig measures 9 ³⁄₁₆ inches long, 9 ⅛ inches wide, and 1 ¼ inches deep, and it weighs just 8.2 ounces. I especially appreciate that the etched measurements are provided in both imperial and metric units, making the jig convenient for a variety of projects. The construction is sturdy and durable, as the seller claims. Aside from the two plastic stabilizing knobs, the jig is made entirely of solid metal. The etched scales are easy to read and appear resistant to wear from regular use.Overall, the Imbot drawer jig is a useful addition to any toolbox. It may not match the versatility and advanced features of my Kreg Cabinet Hardware Jig Pro, but it performs its intended function well, delivers accurate results, and offers good value. Its thoughtful design, durable construction, and affordable price make it especially appealing to DIYers and occasional woodworkers. I recommend it without reservation.

The amount this has helped already is crazy! The lengths of this guy make things so easy to get done ina timely manner! How i use it is after i mark the spots i want the handle to go i use the handle to adjust the measurements on the jig. After getting my adjustments set i set the flat hook on the top of the counter or dresser and adjust the knobs on the back to where the jig stays level before i start drilling. These knobs in my mind are suppose to be stabilizers to keep the jig from wobbling around. The vertical bar has a extended flat piece that holds the jig up while you work. To adjust the drill guides loosen the allen screw slide the allen screw with the flat bar to the position desired within the rails tighten the allen screw down and your ready to drill. Now these allen screws have a pilot hole in them specifically sized for the drill bit provided. The drill bit also comes with a depth collet that you tighten down on the bit for a set drill depth. Once you know the depth measure it out on the bit slide the collet to the position and tighten it. Do not crank any of these down because you risk damaging the equipment. The allen screw guides make it so you only have to drill once and make a perfect pilot hole for your screws to line up with the handle you are attaching. The rails are made of a good grade of aluminum and the screws along woth the flat sliders they go through are a grade of steel. I. not sure the exact kind of steel nor the durability level of them but they are durable enough to do the job. if you have everything mesured and set prior to starting you can quickly and easily do many many drawers or door handles with this jig! Saves time money and effort by so much you cant fathom. If you struggle with getting these projects done do to measurements and such then i highly suggest ordering this jig with how quickly it makes things go by. Definitely worth the order to take some hassle out of your projects.

The top support was bent on mine when I got it so I knocked off one star.Some prying and pounding got that part straightened out enough to use it. That was almost certainly damaged in the warehouse or in shipping but still I shouldn't need to repair a brand new tool before it can be used.The quality and function of the tool itself is very nice. Once adjusted, this allows fast and accurate holes to be drilled for drawer hardware with just a center line on the drawer face.I didn't check the accuracy of the markings but they make it easy to set up. The jig helps keep the holes square and in the right position.If you build anything with drawers, this is a very nice tool to have. For one or two drawers it's probably overkill but a big help if you have multiple drawers or cabinet doors to drill and fit the pulls onto.

I have several jigs from Imbot and I've been thoroughly impressed with them all. As I slowly restore and preserve my century home, I've come to truly appreciate jigs and how useful they are, especially when you're not working out of a big shop, but rather within the rooms being worked on, so being able to rely on jigs and smaller power tools is almost a must.This Imbot drawer jig is very well designed and easy to use. The anodized aluminum is strong and durable, yet lightweight and easy to handle with my small hands. No corners were cut during manufacturing and I found all edges and corners properly filed and smoothed prior to anodizing, so you don't have to worry about slicing your hand or fingers on the edges, which has been a major issue I've encountered this past year with so many stainless steel and aluminum products.I found adjusting the drill bolts as smooth as butter and locking in place precisely where I wanted it without shifting, was very easy.When not in use, it quickly and easily comes apart and both arms sit nicely on top of each other to slide back into the ziploc bag. I really do wish these jigs came in their own case though so they're easier to store without fear of misplacing or losing parts and instructions. But definitely still worth buying even without a case!
