Nice torque wrench for the money. I don't think this is made for full time mechanic duties but if you are like me and do most of your own work and need a torque wrench with this range it works really well and I have no complaints.

Its nice, but it has a locking ring you have to pull down as you turn the torque adjuster. It's just a little odd to manipulate the torque setting. Otherwise it's nice. It's not a deal breaker. It's made well and it seems like a good value.

Nice little tool. Nice you can get round numbers for bike components unlike the park tool TW. But it is kind of annoying to have to do a bunch of turns to get the higher end of the torque range.

I’m thrilled with my purchase of this tool. If you’re undertaking any job, you’ll need this tool along with your toolbox. It’s an essential tool for accurately determining the torque specifications for the work you’re doing, particularly for spark plugs, oil pans, gaskets, and other components that demand precise specifications. Awesome torque wrench. This tool has been vital in doing a valve cover replacement for a BMW and will now be using this tool for another valve cover job on a Honda. I don't have any special tools to check accuracy but so far I haven't had any oil leaks so I would say the wrench is accurate and can rely on doing jobs that require accuracy or close to accurate force when tightening down hardware. I definitely recommend this and even a 3/8 version as well.

great set of torque wrenches at a great price. save $30 or so over buying individually. the 1 /2 inch 40-300 ft lbs is a beast, the 1/4 inch perfect for smaller jobs, and the 3/8 for everything in between. can't beat the quality and price. i highly recommend.

I was in the market for a new torque wrench after buying my first carbon fiber road bike. I really didn’t want to wrench down on an expensive component and risk cracking or stressing the carbon fiber, or worse yet, over-torquing a bolt.Like many cyclists, I initially looked at the Park Tool TW-5.2. It’s a good torque wrench, but after doing a lot of research, I just couldn’t justify the price when compared to what the TEKTON TRQ50502 offers. Here are the things that ultimately sold me:1. Finer torque adjustmentsThe TEKTON adjusts in 0.1 Nm increments, while the Park Tool adjusts in 0.2 Nm increments. The Tekton can get you to 5.7 Nm, you can dial it in exactly. With the Park Tool, you’re choosing between 5.6 Nm or 5.8 Nm. I'll take the precision over anything.2. A much nicer storage caseThis might seem like a small thing, but I was pleasantly surprised by the case. It uses an actual hinged design instead of relying on a thin piece of molded plastic that flexes every time you open it. It just feels like it’ll hold up much better long term.3. Adapters includedOne of the nicest surprises was discovering that the included 1/4-inch hex bit adapter is magnetic. I didn’t see that mentioned anywhere in the product description, but it’s a great feature that keeps your bits securely in place while you’re working. TEKTON also includes a 1/4-inch drive to 3/8-inch drive adapter, giving you even more flexibility right out of the box. I can reuse all of my sockets and hex bits that I already own.4. Solid all-metal constructionThe wrench feels fantastic in your hands. It’s all metal and has a very premium feel. Compared to the Park Tool, which uses a plastic viewing window, the TEKTON just feels like it’ll last a lifetime. The markings are laser etched into the metal, meaning no stickers or paint to wear off or scratch off.5. Individual calibration certificateThis was probably my favorite feature. Instead of simply saying the wrench meets specifications, TEKTON includes an individual calibration certificate for your actual wrench. Mine shows measurements taken at multiple torque values in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions, along with the measured deviation. My individual calibration certificate showed errors ranging from just 0.08% to 1.5%!It’s a nice touch that gives me confidence I’m tightening bolts accurately, especially on a carbon fiber bike. They also offer recalibration services down the road if you ever need them.Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. The build quality is excellent, the included accessories were better than expected, and the calibration certificate was the icing on the cake. For the price, I honestly think this torque wrench offers one of the best values available for home mechanics.If you’re shopping for a quality torque wrench for bicycle maintenance, especially if you own a carbon fiber bike, I would absolutely recommend giving The Tekton TRQ50502 a serious look and just buy it!

What can I say, I love Tekton tools. These are great quality for the price. Perfect for DIY, or maybe even a shop. I was really impressed when I opened the packaging and unboxed them. I have no means of verifying the accuracy, but it comes with a calibration certificate. They function exactly as described. I would buy again or recommend to a friend.
