It does a great job on our patio. However, paper is unable to hold up to liquids the way foam can – pleats sag and deform. So, if tackling a wet job, simply slip the foam exterior sleeve (included) over the pleated paper filter.Easy to install. The rubberized end fit very snugly over the center flanged post, locking the filter into place. The tight fit reassures that a great seal – and thus, suction – has been obtained. No defects.This filter set is reusable – after shaking out the paper filter, use the included brush to sweep retained debris out of the pleats. Refresh by rinsing with water then allowing it to thoroughly air dry prior to use. This replacement filter set is far more affordable than the OEM and it works just as well.

I have owned a Rigid shop-vac for a lot of years. They work great but you have to keep up with the filters. I have gone through a lot of them and this is the best one yet.It is sturdy. It does not self destruct when putting it on. It has the outer pre-filter which gives you a lot of life on the main filter. You can simply remove it, rinse it off, let it dry, and put it back on. The same goes for the main filter. What an awesome idea. It also comes with a little brush designed to get in between the pleats. Awesome touch.I have noticed no dust or particles blowing out the exhaust which means this combo gets it all.For the price, it is a bargain. You may find a cheaper filter out there but you will not get nearly the mileage you will out of this one. Excellent product.

This filter fits perfectly in my old craftsman 16 gallon vacuum very nice snug fit and seal, they used a great hard flexible rubber on the product with a standard paper filter. The filter is cleanable by tapping out the heavy dust using the supplied brush to clean the pleates of excessive leftover dust and a light spraying with the hose let air dry and you’re good to go. The actual filter circumference is smaller than my OEM filter. This filter also comes with a foam sleeve for wet vacuum use and a brush too help clean out the folds of the filter.

It fits my 20 year old Rigid 6.5 horsepower 16 gallon shop vacuum. My wife purchased this vacuum for me when we first met 20 years ago. I had put a "washable" filter in it when new and have been cleaning it for years. The filter was getting very torn and frayed, and I suspected possibly even limiting airflow (it was). I found this filter and purchased it hoping it fits and it does! It is an exact match of the factory filter, with the hole in the bottom for a mounting screw (my old universal filter did not have that and the filter would fall off occasionally). It works like a new vacuum! This is also a cleanable filter so it should last another 20 years. Pre-filter will make cleaning it easier and add life to the filter. Something that would be nice to include would be the plastic nut that holds it on, as I am sure there are others who have lost the winged bolt many years ago as I have. If you have one of the older and larger Rigid Shop Vac's this is the filter you need.
