This is a very nice light for the porch. It was easy to install. I like that it has glass over all of it (but I did not get glass for the bottom). We have it set to come on when we drive up and come up to the porch. We do not keep it on all night long. It provides enough light for us to see on the porch and see the door for us to unlock it. It is made of quality material and I feel that it could last for years.

Nice light, but do not install on vinyl houseThis is a nice light but it is not made with the installation on a vinyl house in mind. That much I can tell you! The light looks really great and would work perfectly on a brick, stucco or some sort of flat sided exterior wall. But on vinyl, this install is way more work than anticipated. This is due to the fact that the back of the light is completely open. Traditionally, the housing box for the wiring on these exterior lights is small due to the fact this will result in less damage or fussing with siding. But, being as this light “housing” is roughly 15x6, this results in a huge area that needs to be prepped, cut and caulked. On traditional vinyl siding, that means going through multiple panels/ runs and that is definitely not ideal. The light looks great, but my other issue is understanding how to switch between modes. I’ve read the instructions several times and I’m more confused than when I started (see pic). To summarize, I love the look of the light now that I did the work to install it, but I wouldn’t definitely have chosen a different light after seeing the housing.

This is a great looking and very modern motion sensor outdoor wall light. I really like the matte black finish on this wall light which goes with any style of home. It's 15 inches so it's a little longer than most outdoor wall lights and that gives it a more high end look.It's fairly straightforward to install. It comes with everything needed to mount it on the wall. I have a stucco wall so I used the included anchors to reinforce before screwing it on. The motion sensor might feature works well. When withing feet of the light it turns on and turns off automatically. I would recommend for any home looking to upgrade their outdoor light fixture.

I have ordered several lights from this seller (MYLAMPST). They have all been very good pieces and I have been satisfied with them. This order was no different. I ordered this particular Outdoor Wall Light Fixture with the Motion Sensor feature to replace the light at the back of my house.One I received the package; I inspected the contents carefully. The matte black finish on the lamp was perfect. No scratches or dents were noted, and the finish was applied smoothly. The glass is tempered glass and it too, was free of any imperfections. A light bulb is not included with the package, but all other installation hardware (minus an outlet box) is included. The product description page stated that the base of the bulb area is open to allow for easy bulb replacement but that apiece of bottom glass is included to help prevent dust and insects. I did not receive any such glass with this order. However, that was not a game changer for me.With regard to the bottom glass that was indicated but not included- as I said, this was not a game changer for me. I have ordered a few of this type of light from this company and others did not include a bottom glass piece. I do prefer to have the bottom closed, so I have an easy solution to this issue. I carefully measure the inner lip of the bottom base and go to my local home improvement store where they will cut a piece of glass to that measurement for very little money. I usually have them cut two pieces- one to be used immediately upon installation and the other to be in reserve as a backup- just in case I break one when cleaning the glass or replacing the bulb.Installation of this light is relatively easy and straightforward. Assembly and installation instructions are included. In my case, I was replacing an existing outdoor light, so it was just a matter of turning off the power, removing the current light, attaching the wires to the new light, and then securing the light to the mounting bracket. The last step is to install the light bulb. As stated earlier, the bulb is not included but can be easily purchased at any hardware or home improvement store. The light takes a standard E26 bulb with a suggested max wattage of 60 watts or less. I elected to use a 60-watt bulb, and it is more than enough for the area where this light is installed.The functions and operation of the motion sensor feature is clearly outlined in the Assembly and Installation guide. Troubleshooting tips are also provided in the guide. The motion sensor feature has three different modes, and they can be set easily based on your needs. Two of the functions deal with the motion detection feature modes. Basically, these two modes deal with how long the light stays on after motion ceases to be detected and whether the light is set to function for day and night or just nightly. The third function is the option to have the mode set to work nightly and turn off at dawn (a dusk-to-dawn feature).There is a lot going on with this light and it is an excellent value at this price point. The quality of this light is great, and the light looks fantastic when installed. I have not had any problems with the other light fixtures I have ordered from MYLAMPST in the past, and I am comfortable that this light is just as good. The quality finish, the tempered glass, the high-end look of the light are all reasons why I can totally recommend this Outdoor Wall Light and I can be confident with a giving it a 5-star rating.
