The 2-Pcs Dual-Grit Diamond Sharpening Stone Garden Tool Files work well but it is critical to use a consistent angle of attack. While the description page states there is an integrated angle guide there is none. The product works well but using good form to keep from rolling the blade across the file is essential. I found that I get best results when I hold the file on a flat surface and then move the knife slowly applying light pressure. It is very convenient to be able to sharpen my knifes without having to use my wet stones.I recommend this product and getting the pair of them makes the purchase quite economical. I believe these files will last quite a while if properly maintained.

These arrived yesterday and just in time to try them out. I've been making knives via stock removal and grinding down tapers and the edge, but I can only get so sharp on a belt sander. I decided to try these out on a clamped down edge, and they work really well at removing small amounts of materials and getting that 20-degree angle set.The handles are plastic, which is fine. They are not loose and the material seems to be of good quality.Initially I thought these were a little expensive for what they are, but after using them for an hour or so, I'm very pleased with the purchase. Good value and gets the job done.

This sharpening stone offers two grits with a convenient handle.The sharpening stone is approximately 8.5" including the handle. It's made up of a black plastic handle with what looks like a metal sharpening stone with abrasive. There is a hole on the end of the handle letting you tie a cord or hang it on a nail or hook. The sharpening stone part has the grit labeled on the surface just above the handle. 220 on the one side and 600 on the other. The sharpening stone part is approximately 4.2" in length, 0.87" wide, and 0.1" thick. I weighed the sharpening stone at 2.96 ounces.Using the sharpening stone the attached handle makes it easier to use than loose stones when sharpening large blades where you have to move the stone instead of the blade. Lawn mower blades and axes are the main use for me. The stone is large enough to work well but compact enough to store in a small space.
