I would call this more of a "splice kit" than just "waterproof connector", because the Govee lights already have waterproof connectors. You use this product to add a connector back onto a strand that you cut to length. That's what I needed to do, repurposing an old stand that had been cut to fit.It has been working great for the past weeks...you'd never know it was there. It just works as if nothing ever happened. The hard plastic shell is sturdy, and the silicone sealing insert feels robust.I look forward to never having to think about this thing again.

These connectors worked well with my Govee permanent outdoor lights and fit snugly once everything was connected. Genuine branded connectors can add quite a bit to the cost of an installation, especially if you need several of them. These white waterproof connectors are listed for multiple Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights models including the H705 and H706 series. The two pack is useful for extending, repairing, or adapting an existing compatible installation where additional connectors are needed.Outdoor lighting projects have a tendency to require one more connector than originally planned, usually after everything else is already mounted. Keeping two extras available can save an unnecessary interruption in the installation.

It's a clever pair of modules that allow you to join lighting wires together, with triple pinned plugs coded for Govee light extensions. Hence you can increase the length of your Govee cable between power plug and the lights. The cables are gripped by a green silicone material which grips the outside of the three component cables to maintain a waterproof seal. However, what takes place inside the plugs amazed me: as the plugs are screwed together, the three wires twist tightly together because the silicone grips the wires. The end of each wire is secured in its connector by a lever plug, and if the lever plug pops open because of the strain of excessive twisting, as had happened with one I was sent, the wire is no longer properly connected, resuting in a non-functioning extension.I will need to use these connectors to connect lights with a non-Govee plug to a Govee extension cable about 30' long. It is easy to do because, once the three cables are prepared by cutting and trimming the ends to expose the copper cable inside, they can be pushed through the green silicone seal on the connector, and then pushed into the appropriate lever connection inside to make the contact. The problem comes with identifying which cable is which - the negative cable is marked with "-" symbols along its length, but the "+ve" and "ground" connectors are identical and it is necessary to use a resistance meter to check continuity when the cable is assembled before applying power. When the wires are pushed through the green silicone and clamped into the correct lever clamp inside, it is worth twisting the three wires together anticlockwise for a few turns before screwing the connector assembly together clockwise to avoid excessive twisting of the wires inside. Then a secure, strong waterproof connector is achieved.

These ended up not being the right connector for the lights I have, but they still seem like a solid, well-made product.The waterproof seal looks like it would hold up well outdoors, which is really what I was looking for. I'm going to rig them to work with the lights I do have since the quality seems good.If you're using the compatible Govee lights, these should work well for you.

However, there's a significant frustration: there are no instructions on how to actually use the sealed end with your existing Govee cable. The connector arrives ready to go physically, but there's no guidance on the proper way to connect it to your current setup. You're left figuring out how the sealing mechanism works and how to properly integrate it with your existing Govee cable configuration. That's a major oversight for a product designed to be installed by customers.

Excellent quality. I absolutely love the quick release lever. Connecting wires to this is incredibly easy.I bought this to connect to a Monster brand LED light, not govee. I was able to use this to connect that light to WLED instead of using the included controller.The build quality is great. Rubber gaskets on both sides. The locking latch holds the wire in place with a snug grip. The wires won't pull out easily.I trust this to be fully water resistant for out door use. I didn't say waterproof, because that would imply submerging it underwater. I don't recommend that.
